I bought this great beard trimmer when it was posted here a month ago for £16.99.
It's not lithium or fast charge but without further charging straight out of the box it's had sufficient charge to give me 2-3 beard trims a week for the last 4 weeks. I finally put it on overnight charge last night.
The beauty of this is it will run straight off the mains charger so it's a 'no brainer' for me apart from it has a 3 pin plug so I can't use it in my bathroom shaver socket.
I read a lot of the Amazon reviews on other Remington's and other makes including Braun, Wahl and Philips. This came rated really highly and compared favorably to some at more than double the price point
It's versatile. The main trimmer has self lubricating, self sharpening ceramic blades.
The main beard comb has 9 position settings adjusted by a rotary wheel on the trimmer. That allows precision from 2mm to 18mm beard lengths in 2mm steps.
There is an additional stubble comb which I prefer for my short (not stubble) beard which has it own easy to use rotary wheel for beard/stubble lengths of 1 to 5mm (9 positions in 0.5mm increments).
There is also a nifty little pop out detail trimmer which I use to tidy up around the mouth and nose area (not a nasal trimmer! )
I have a fairly coarse beard and have had no problems such as blades dragging or the comb moving if I apply pressure.
The trimmer is light, easy to hold, with a soft touch grip and easy to take apart when cleaning.
Some people in Amazon reviews have complained that the on/off switch is a bit difficult to manoeuvre but personally I'd rather have one with a positive action than one which you could accidentally switch off whilst shaving as my old Philips.
9.5/10 from me anyway, even if it was double the price, which in fact it is on Amazon right now!
Just the 3 pin plug that irks me slightly.

If you read the reviews on Amazon you'll find a lot of people with battery problems across cheaper Remington models, me being one of them. In a year or so it was only usable when plugged in. I wouldn't get another.

Cold, 16 hour charge time for 40 min use. Remington is better than babyliss but phillips always the best from my experience of trying various products over the years.

I have this trimmer as well. I bought it as a cheap replacement for an istubble that my daughter dropped in the bath. 3 years later I still haven't replaced it. Certainly does the job nicely imo.

I bought the MB4110 when it was posted on hukd (18 months ago) and it was and still is an excellent bit of kit. Cosmetic differences I assume but would think the blades are the same or if not better.

Not a big risk in my opinion given the warranty + its easy for me personally to source solder tag batteries and solder another in. Had to do on Braun Oral B toothbrush which wasn't exactly cheap

That's the one I had that I was talking about earlier. Liked it apart from the battery going to nothing very quickly, still worked from a wall if that's all you need. Don't remember the cord being very long for that though.

This is a great deal, I've been very impressed with my (more fancy) remington that I bought for a share over 20 quid. I'm not fussed by the smart quick charge I've got on mine. I highly recommend remington,the self sharpening self lubricating blades are a god send. Can't go wrong at this price.

Yeah, it's a popular one. But agree, the battery dies quite quickly and wish I could at least use it while plugged into the bathroom 'shaver' socket. However, it's got a 3pin wall socket thingy

I have one of these they're very good, I got it from Argos when it was about £18, back then. Great battery life, haven't had to re-charge since I got it, which is more than a month and counting. Best trimmer I've owned so far.

Got this too since December. It's quieter than a previous model but doesn't get as close due to plastic they have used. Although mine has just died completely, won't charge anymore so using my old one again until I can find the receipt and get a replacement.

I've had Remington corded and cordless hair clippers, some have been OK (corded ones), but the cordless have been rubbish. As for trimmers, I bought a Philips Multigroom cordless and it's been a good product.

This trimmer is amazing, 100% recommended! I've been using it for a year now. The battery lasts for a decent couple of days, it's easy to clean and the blade cuts very well.

Its a safety issue mainly per chance someone plugs in something they shouldn't I have kids so not worth the worry.

I have had 2 Phillips models with the Vac system to suck up the clippings, the first one I still use as it had a removable bin to empty. The second had a hatch that opened with a very weak clip holding it that broke within 2-3 months, this means I'm back with the old one and its dying battery. I need a replacement soon! What does the one above do? Does it have a bin as I can't tell?

I've got this... It's great as the op says... I paid about the same 6 months ago... I've only had to charge it twice... It beats my previous shaver (babyliss itrimmer) hands down... Heat

Its in the instructions with the shaver, you get 3 year warranty as standard and if you register online with Remington you get an additional year.

Hmmm, very constructive comment. Part of the reason I grew a beard is that I don't have to shave ' most days of the week' I'm sure mine will last long after I'm bored of my beard

Yes its one of vaccum trimmer, it store majority of hair inside a bin then you gotta empty it. I found hair sticking into grease stuff inside. Also like you said clips are weak.

on the lookout for a 4045 a tesco had a SEL for £12.50 but no stock
