Playing a 720p MP4 video on loop the Yoga 300 lasts six hours 34 minutes at 120 cd/m2 brightness. This is a light task, so will be similar to (or slightly more than) what you’ll see when using the laptop to do basic work.
There isn't a Pentium n2840 though only a Celeron. So not unusually Argos description if wrong.

Damn it, I paid 150 for this a few weeks back. It's a decent laptop though, I use it for standard office tasks and it copes alright. Battery does last ages, but depends on what you're doing. Probably the best 2 in 1 you can get at this price.

I assume that anyone who says this is ok for work are joined to a workgroup because you couldn't put this piece of junk onto a domain.
This 32GB SSD version the storage is soldered to the board and does not have the relevant SATA connection to add/upgrade to a bigger drive, http://www.hwupgrade.it/forum/showthread.php?t=2751260 (translation needed) although as said in the link you might be able to buy a cable that will add the SATA connection but it's not a certainty it would work. I think this model was on offer a while back on Amazon and quite a few people said it came with the N2940 processor which is faster. It would be interesting to see if anyone gets one of those on this deal as that would be an amazing bargain.

Hi, i have one and its been brilliant....But with one major caveat- I,ve found it impossible to upgrade to W10; and keep 'running out' of memory- (Even after changing the 128GB sandisk thumb drive I added) to NTFS.....nightmare.....
Windows is the problem; not the device- i wish i could run Android on it!
Ps, its an 2840 Celeron; which is plenty fast.

Are you sure you can describe it as fast, I have a Toshiba laptop with a 2810 processor, wouldn't describe it as fast, I've stuck an Ssd in it so things do load fast, but web browsing is still slow, I use Firefox or edge, and it also really stutters with video over 480p. It's got 4gb ram too.

Hi I also have an i5 full size laptop, and find myself using the Lenovo more, as it has a nice display, good touchscreen, and is happy running Wuaki, Amazon Prime video etc....great battery and stand-by time and .....its cheap so I dont have to be too 'precious' with it.
Not suitable as an main device; but brilliant for the money....how much do people waste on cigarettes/drink in a week....?

It could be worth buying one anyway. If you don't like it, it is covered by Argos 30 day money back guarantee although buyer pays return postage. If it has a better spec, you win. If you was thinking about buying the laptop with the spec shown above you still win.

I got that too. Arrived on Monday but I been on holiday this week so just opened it today. N2840, 4gb ram and 500gb hard drive is what it says on the box. Not checked its actual spec as not switched it on. I was quite impressed with the quality for refurbished. Just one tiny scratch on the lid about 4mm long and as thin as a hair and a little dent about the size of ball point pen tip next to the trackpad. Quite impressed by the spec for the money. The benchmark pass mark is actually better than my Lenovo Miix 3 and I find that pretty good for the money so we will see. Not sure how a dual core with higher pass mark will be better than a quad core with lower benchmark but we will soon find out.
Sorry for doubting you guys who said you got a better model than posted. I did think a couple of you were winding us up.

Isn't the upgrade only still available to businesses and not the general public. I just tried the Microsoft site and it says the windows 10 free upgrade has ended. It says the best way to experience windows 10 is to buy a new device.

Ok so I bit the bullet and bought one. If it's the 32gb version though I will send it back. If it's a better model I will post a picture. If it's a 32gb one I will be asking the guys who said they got the 4gb ram and bigger hard drives to post a picture of their purchase. I posted the deal, and got 4gb 500GB model, but unfortunately the keypad base is in awful condition scuffed all over and touch pad is well worn. I have requested a swap. First time I have had a refurb from Argos that has been in poor condition, saying that, outer case is brand new looking!

I keep my fingers crossed. It's still a decent deal even for the 32gb model but sometimes getting something better for less is a good feeling. 32gb running windows is a bit of a laugh considering memory and hard drives are cheap. Not too bothered about overall condition so long as it's not in the same state as one of the guys who bought the dell deal for similar money.

Typical. I ordered this today and just seen a Dell Venue 64gb / 2gb ram for sale for the same money. Only thing that puts me off is a real fancy web page with a name that makes them sound like a manufacturer outlet and it's a private house. Not that there is anything wrong with that but just puts me off. Feedback good though.

Got mine, thanks OP. Mine is also 4GB RAM with 500 HD. Good condition. Battery is one issue, first two times, turned off at just less than 50%, now lasts about 2.5 hours after few charges, which is still good enough for money.
Screen is not very good, but then again, it is for kids homework, and good value for money.

Wow, that's a good spec for £104.99. Now just need windows 10 and an SSD. My only complaint about this and every other small screen laptop is the big bezel around the screen. Only a small complaint and the lower resolution screen to my Miix 3 is actually better for the menus as the font is larger. Windows 8 icons look awful but windows 10 is downloading this very minute.
Seeing as it has the 1366 x 768 resolution which a lot of people moan isn't good enough, including myself, It's actually pretty damn good at this screen size. A good test for me is Katy Perry's Road on Youtube but I reckon she looks good in any resolution.

Yes pretty good for £104.99. Hopefully mine will be better when I do a fresh install of windows 10. I didn't realise what a difference it made until I did it on my Miix 2. It still had the old 8.1 recovery partition and it took a while to get rid of it. It would not let me boot from usb even using Rufus software. In the end I used my recovery drive that I had done following a fresh install of windows 10 on my miix 3. I didn't think it would work but it did and removed the recovery partition. Downloaded the win 8.1 drivers from Lenovo for the miix 2 and I can't tell you what a difference it makes. Someone is going to be a happy bunny on ebay pretty soon when I put it up for sale. Looks like Lenovo recovery drives can be used from laptop to tablet and vice versa.

Well I did the clean install of windows 10 after downloading all the necessary drivers from Lenovo. Make sure you delete all partitions just to be sure. You will lose one key recovery and also the UEFI secure boot but you don't need it. Boots fine from legacy.

I personally prefer two fingers and so does the wife. The touchpad is not too bad on these. The scrolling one finger or two is just a selection in the mouse settings. These are still selling new for silly money in Currys. It's not a £280.00 machine considering the competition but at £104.99 it was a bargain.
Selling my Asus T300 chi if anyone interested. Look out for it on ebay. I don't use it anymore and it only had little use. I bought it for the car but it's too nice for that and that's why I bought the Lenovo.
