Should be good. Ditch the DVD drive, move HDD to DVD drive; put in a SSD.

Yes. Lots of guides online. The minor tricky bit is finding a HDD caddy to replace the DVD drive... looking now...
I put an offer in of £119 an hour ago and it's not been rejected straight away unlike Jonnyblock...still waiting...

Anyone know how easy it is to access the RAM on these? I have an HP Probook ( yes, one of THOSE ones) and it's a 30 second job, but not all laptops are quite so straightforward, to say the least!

Is this processor better than my current AMD Athlon II P320 Dual-Core processor 2.10GHz?

This is a refurbished item on ebay. Can't ask to match, I think.
"Cheeky?"
Anyway, that item was already there when I posted yesterday. I didn't understand the two different ebay listings for one item but I wasn't going to complain.

I put in an offer of £149 last night and eBay informed me that there were 200 other outstanding offers at that time on the laptop. Since it wasn't clear how many they had (surely not hundreds since it's a refurb) I decided to just buy one outright at £159. A bargain price - thanks OP!
