I know this wont be for everyone but I was in waitrose and noticed they have 100g packets of pine nuts for £2.24.
Normally pine nuts retail for closer to £3/100g so a good deal, currently ~£2.75 in most other supermarkets so 50p+ saving.
Great for making pesto, adding to pasta, salads and numerous other dishes.
Worth noting in my local store they werent with the other nuts or in the general cooking section (the one with the spices, pulses and the like) they were in the home baking section.

Any idea if there are Italian or Chinese? I find the Chinese ones rancid.

Everyone uses Chinese ones and do lead to pine breath and rancid ness
Pakistani are the best they have an elongated shape
Chinese are short and fat like the picture shows vaguely
