Be warned, it's a slippery slope. Once you've bought one Hue light you'll want them in every room!

Does this work with the Hue Bridge and App?

Sure does, you can also use the remote to manage several lights/bulbs to though they are a bit of a pain to set up once done they work fine.

Why the cold votes? Never owned one but had my eye on them for a long time so know the price is good.

I have one as my bedroom light. Get one.

Probably a good price for this particular light, but still seems expensive for what it is perhaps?

Maybe a fair point but not having bought one yet I couldn't say. Either way, the point of the voting is to rate prices rather than products surely and I'm pretty confident this is a good price for the Iris.
Mine has lasted 5 years at 18hrs a day. So it is £8 a year, and very low energy cost.

slkdjfsjd tempting. The main reason I would get one is you can pair it up with an app to make it a light clock. Might be a different model that does that though.

That's such a good idea! I've just thrown my radio alarm out, having on of these on a slow fade up at a specific time in the morning would be a great wake up. Thanks. ^_^

All too true. I've chased all the deals for hue bulbs and now have enough to do all of the rooms of a four bedroom flat.

I'd look into it first before taking the plunge! I know the sleep as android app lets you use it as a sunrise alarm, but I dunno about others... I think it requires a philips Hue bridge or something though, which costs extra =\

I have a Hue bridge and two Hue lights, I just hadn't thought of using one as a wake up clock. I think it's a great idea. ^_^

I'm struggling here, what is the actual point of these? just colours? Genuine question.

App controlled, so you can go on holiday and still control your lights at home from your phone. Use them as disco lights, mood lights etc

Hmm, seems pricey even at that then if that's all. May as well have a time controlled plug for when on holidays.

I forgot to mention it will also cook your breakfast and make cups of tea  Not sure what else you'd want from a light? They're pretty cool, but not for everyone

I mean obviously I didn't expect it to do the dishes... But I just don't see why it's so much money when you can buy a few strips of colour changing LEDs that do the same.
