Not a bad mower, mine lasted 10 months before dying, bit of a hassle getting a refund as they wanted to do an exchange... got a refund in the end and bought one elsewhere with a Briggs and Stratton engine. Was fine while it lasted! I paid £99 for it.

Worth a punt to have a go at building one of these.
We got one of these last time it was on at £50 and its still going well.

Got one last time too.
Brilliant little mower, starts first time unlike one or two of my Briggs and Stratton engined machines and, with a plastic body, no rust holes like my Honda Izzy. For £50 this has been one of my better buys

eh. how did your Honda rest when they are made with rustproof materials. Honda izy mowers are awesome

Agreed ! I got this at £50 last time and it's still going strong, couple of pumps on the prima and off she goes ! It's had some stick too ! Must be 3 years old now. Bargain and uses hardly any fuel (1 canister lasted 2 seasons)

Not bad for a lawn as big as a handkerchief

98cc, should be cheap to insure, probably cheap tax as well or exempt.

Sounds like it's time for a song >
Hankerchief Lawn (sing in the style of Elton John)
Ooh Hankerchief Lawn
What did you spawn?
Just a tiny seed of disappointment
Ooh Hankerchief Lawn
You know why I'm forlorn?
You're so frayed and disjointed
What have we sowed?
It begs to be mowed
That's petrol money I'm owed
etc etc

pat123 was correct Honda izy mowers may give the impression of being ' rustproof ' but my mates izy rusted through the metal deck last year. It only takes a bit of debris under the deck to start the process.

I've been scouring the Internet for a petrol mower deal, I'm presuming the warranty is only a year but it's still worth it....... Providing I can find one!

Won't let me edit but I've just seen its 2 year

The Honda Izzy deck is made of pressed mild steel. Most of the underside does not have a plastic cover and so the paint is soon removed by debris being flung outwards by the blade. If you clean and recoat the underside frequently you can delay the onset of rust but if you don’t, the deck can rust through after only a few years.
It would be relatively inexpensive for Honda to fit a full plastic under shield but they don’t. They spend vast sums on advertising in an attempt to enhance their reputation when a simple piece of plastic would prevent that reputation from being damaged.

ok for large gardens? iv got 2 gardens about 8/10 meters square. would it do the job?

My garden is about 4 metres wide but 16 metres long - so 64m2 and it does it fine, tbh the missus does it and never complains, I am sure a bigger one would do it faster but it appears she is not fussed.
Anyone that gets one at this price will be happy, don't hold back, even if your not happy you could sell this easily and get your money back should it not be up to the task

scissors would do a stamp like that large gardens need a ride on tractor

Honda Izy mowers are indeed awesome but they sadly rust especially when they are 'rest..ing'. Poor quality steel decks pressed in France but fitted with an excellent engine.
Love Honda stuff but the Izy is a rust bucket and a replacement deck is over £100. I replaced it with an aluminium deck Toro and bought the Wilko as it was £50. Brilliant little mower, no 'rest'!
