Yet another China phone with no 800Mhz 4G coverage . All the UK mobile companies except EE use this frequency , so don't expect decent 4G coverage from this phone.
Top priority on a phone should be that it can get a signal ! It doesn't matter how fast the phone is or what features it has if it can't get a decent signal.

Which is a lovely story, but nothing to do with Pepsi commissioning a phone to be made with their branding on it.
What is the IPO case reference. Skyy may be too similar as well.
But when applying for a trade mark it is only protected in the classes you specify and there are many identical trade marks in different areas. Sky does not sell alcohol so the public would not be confused and Sky have no protection in alcohol. If they did they would have to use the mark and if it it could be struck out after a number of years.
Even in a recent case the opposition by Sky failed in certain classes:
71) The opposition fails in respect of the following of the applicants’ Class 11 goods:
candle bags, (being lanterns), floating lanterns, candle lanterns, glass lantern globes, oil lanterns, portable paper lanterns, standing paper lanterns, flying lanterns, fuel cell lanterns, chinese lanterns, electric chinese lanterns, electric lanterns; Led lights for lighting purposes incorporated into key chains or other similar personal items; oil lamps, pen lights

Baloney. Sky tv don't make vodka but they successfully challenged Sky Vodka who had to change their brand name to Skyy.

Doesn't have a magnetometer (compass sensor), so maps won't orientate correctly.

Technically liable for VAT at £13.58 plus £8-12 admin fee, but unless you specify a known courier delivery such as UPS, DHL, etc, the previous Gearbest deal consensus is the chances of it being pulled by customs is minimal.

Pepsi do not have a trademark to cover mobile phones. The trade mark must be in specific classes.

I am so intrigued by these Chinese phones that I am going to take a punt one day. I bought the Huawei P8 last year which has been replaced by the P9 and I still love it although it has taken a battering and is less than one year old. I think over the next few months I am going to replace it and sell it on with one of the deals that pop up on here, even if I only get a few months from one, if you never try you'll never know.

Looks decent for the price! Similar specs to the recent Huawei deal from Amazon but half the price!
It runs on android 5.1 not quite sure what you mean by based on? This is their own design probably based off several other similar designs from other companies

from a quick bit of research it suggests the P1s is geared towards the Chinese market and a P1 will be the European option. not sure what the difference will be though.
