I've been looking around today for decent fans for my children and saw these in Homebase at £16.99 which compared to other similar products in Argos and B&Q seemed a good deal.
**Seemingly same product at Screwfix is £14.99, looks identical**

I ended up buying 3 and having assembled them (5 minutes each) I can vouch for the positive reviews:
They're not on sale per se, but Google shopping it telling me they're the cheapest they've been in a long time.
Not too fussed about heat, but if it saves someone from sleep depravation it's reason enough to post it.

Not kidding mate, the humidity is something else!

Seagoon, you're right, the SF one looks identical. I'll add that to the OP and amend the post. Thanks!

when you get it please note the nut that holds the fan blade is left hand thread at first I thought it was broken and staring at the thread I realised you just twist it in the wrong direction of course nothing in the instructions to tell you this

CPC have fans cheaper than most places and with free delivery over £6. 16" £11.94
Good to know, but unless you live in Preston, it's going to arrive after the heatwave. I'd sooner pay a few quid more and get it when its of use.

Screwfix and b&q are owned by the same company, so most of the time anything you want in one will be a different price in the other (usually cheaper at Screwfix). They also rebrand some of the cheaper items so names get changed, but worth checking the two out for specific items you've found in kne

Strange as I bought the 20" fan 2 weeks back and selected free delivery but received it next day via UPS to London.

That's the exception not the rule. CPC quote 3-5 days, good thing for you though!

This was £16 in B&Q yesterday, most of their own brand fans have £2-£3 off in store, although it wasn't advertised on shelf! went through till as £16 instead of £19 and 12" desktop fan went through as £12 instead of £14.
