Thanks OP, I'm in the same boat as you, can only Bluetooth call to my 2007 Civic Ex with navigation unit, leaving an FM transmitter as the only option!

I'm not sure this one acts as a hands free, yiu probably need the newer roidmi 2 for that, which was on indigogo and should be shipping soon, double check if that's your main need

Not a bad do da!
Hot. Reliable manufacturer (particularly give the junk no brand car chargers out there) and the FM/Bluetooth is an added bonus.

I like the design of this, just looks like it's a bit too big to fit where the socket is on my car :disappointed:

I saw this when someone posted on here a while ago but never bit. I'm not too bothered about the call function on the new model, I just want something for the music and at half the price of the newer model, this should do me just fine.

I have had one of these for several months. It needed "modding" to work in a Fiat 500 - the connections just didn't make. I solved it by wrapping some aluminium foil round it and it has been fine since, although I have never tried to charge from it.
The app is Chinese but reasonably straightforward to work out. However a guy on XDA has done a translation into English if you need it.
In operation it is flawless. I have had zero issues with 4 different phones.
I didn't know that a second model was coming out so I will look into that.

Ah!!! I picked up a similar item for my partners Fiat 500 and same issue, just falls about with no connection, tin foil works fine though? Was looking to replace the actual socket but seemed quite a bit to get to it.

I'm trailing through all the Roidmi posts to see.....has anyone found a way to change the frequency via your phone? There's no app on the playstore and I'm stuck with it on the stock frequency which picks up all kinds of other channels when I drive. Do you have a link to the xda thread?

Well, I've finally set up an account with the dreaded Gearbest. I tried Banggood but theirs was over £10 for the exact same product, so GB it is.

Any noticeable difference in sound quality with these compared to the 3.5mm headphone jack Bluetooth adapters?

21 Jul 16#22
how is the music quality through that? I have had some fm transmitters in the past and they were woeful. music quality was really bad, is that any different with this one?
Edit: I think it should fit an 07 plate civic? My sports version does not even have aux:(

I cannot recommend this enough. I purchased this whilst searching for a fast car charger and I am very pleased with the purchase. I have a Ford Fusion with Bluetooth only available for calls, so really needed something for music and this does the job very well. The sound quality is much better than what you get when you use Aux or Aux via a Bluetooth connector. I would definitely recommend this.

Had mine three months and was surprised at how good it is. Bought for my recently acquired Merc C180 that was made before Bluetooth and aux in etc became standard kit. Bought it mainly for podcasts and audio books but music sounds pretty good too. As for gearbest I've bought lots of stuff from them and have no complaints at all about their delivery service. Any after sales guarantee is pretty much useless but who cares when it only costs eight quid.

ordered mine on the 11th its arrived today, I've never had a problem with Gearbest.
But it doesn't seem to recurve any power from the 12v socket in the car. I tried tin foil as mentioned above, but no joy. In fact I'm not sure I haven't damaged something!
Any ideas from anyone?

Right mine arrived today, just tested it
It connects fine but i have a bit of a problem our local radio station is on the frequency 96.7 and covers the whole of the city
So i am getting interference with this being so close at 96.4
Is there a way to change the frequency?

Doesn't seem to work at all in a BMW E91, it looks like the correct socket, but won't show up as a bluetooth device and no visible sign of life (looks like it should have an illuminated usb socket?)
*edit* it's working in another car (Toyota Auris) so the unit works, just not in my car :disappointed:

try a bit of tin foil around it first, or a bit of paper down the side of it

I gave it a quick go this morning, but no luck - I'll try again later on when I have time. I folded the tinfoil in 2 and wrapped it around the metal bit twice, then secured it with some sellotape, but I think I went too high with the sellotape.

I bent the pins back on the other socket (in front of the gear stick) and it works, but I can't close the cover to the ash-tray/bin. It seems to be a slightly different design oddly. The other socket (in the central console) won't work at all.
