Depending on how far you are from a TV mast, you should consider putting this in your loft instead of on the roof. We aren't far from a TV mast so I put ours in the loft. Picked up the same amount of TV channels without the hassle of putting it on the roof. Plus I don't have to worry about the wind blowing it down which happened in my last house.

I live about 25 mile from the transmitter and fitted it in a loft, bought a 2 way splitter from screwfix and this is now feeding 2 rooms at around 45-47 db. A smudge under an ideal signal level but all channels and no interference.
Well pleased.

I counted only 7 prongs ; only good for if you live next door to the TV mast , in which case you could get the same reception with a coat hanger.
Better to pay extra for a longer arm with more prongs .
Nb Birds have a habit of sitting on these types and knocking the prongs off !
If look around it is quite common to see a house or bungalow with a moth eaten look aerial on the roof and a pile of prongs on the ground .

All gone now :disappointed:
I've been meaning to change our ancient one too as it struggles with HD when it's raining heavily.

Loft brackets are only a couple of quid to make a proper job of it, example at B&Q search for 571313.

For those putting it in the loft, you can use any decent quality, thick tape (eg duck tape, electrical tape) to fasten it to a joist, you don't need a bracket.

Do you have a link to a good price for the one with the bracket then?

Very surprised how good these are, I pick up full HD through the roof space, pay the extra for the bracket though.
Get the app on your phone that tells you what' direction to point it.

can't see how it's amplified from the listing or the manufactures web site, very annoying.
I've asked the question on ebay, will report back when I get answer

Would appreciate indication of the power supply requirements for the amplifier, and if power is supplied via the antenna cable or external+box, thanks.
