No-one had really heard of VH at the time, but they were fresh and loud and... simply brilliant. Getting encores as a support. By contrast, BS were falling apart. Ozzy was sacked after that tour amidst drugs problems and Bill was having his alcohol problems. There were reports at the time of Sabbath being booed and chants for Van Halen when Sabbath were on stage at some gigs.

i bought this at a HMV closing store clearance sale in Scunthorpe a few years ago for a similar price. its my gym shirt, and perfectly accompanies the Black Sabbath or Paranoid album psyching me up before big lifts!! Sabbath aren't Sabbath without Ozzy!!

I was there - Never Say Die Tour, May 31 1978, Leicester De Montfort Hall... Van Halen were the warmup...
My original t-shirt looked nothing like this one though

Sabbath and Van Halen (with DLR). I could think of worse gigs to go to

Probably end up the backs of people who have no clue who black sabbath are.

Nice to see it in larger sizes as I see slot if deals for small or xs but not as many for xl. Heat
