The price of this phone - only released a few weeks ago - keeps tumbling.
I already posted today that it's down to £199.99 at Amazon.
Well, if you don't mind it being locked to O2, it's now £169.99 in the O2 online store (black and lime gold models). I presume it's the same in O2 shops.
You can get unlock codes on eBay for about £14 if you don't want to be stuck with the O2 network.
Good to see the price of this phone coming down. Was overpriced at launch.

It’s called HotUkDeals not CheapestPriceForAnyOldCrap not that I’m saying this phone is crap just poor battery life will make it a no go for some.
Hot and cheapest are not always interchangeable.
Ultimately it is whatever the users turn it into and what the Mods tolerate; not Rockers obviously!
People share info here, that is part of the deal, so if you can’t stand the heat, get outta the kitchen.

the S6 has a snapdragon processor not mediatek garbage. This is a budget device the s6 is a one year old flagship no comparison

Jeez...is this a price-drop bargain website...or a tech review website?
Surely it's a bargain website ie the lowest price so far for stuff! Whether you like/agree with that stuff or not.
You can comment that it's not the lowest price...hopefully with a link to the actual lowest price.
But it's not a place to show off your tech know-how and try to score points for knowledge over other people.
You lot really could put people off from posting bargains here.

The thing is, “bargain" is quite subjective. For example, you could spend £170 on this phone, or get a different one instead, or pay an extra £50 for a much better one. Just because it's the cheapest price doesn't make it worth of being a “deal", necessarily. That's the whole point of the comments section.

£170 overpriced bottom range phone? Bit harsh i think. Same processor as galaxy s6 which is £350 everywhere. My personal priority for a phone at this price is processing power and updates. I dont care too much about battery life. P9 lite i feel wont get very fequent updates

The XA RRP is 239, the price drop is because of the soon to be released XA Ultra at £299. And you get what you pay for mate.

I spend too much time following phone news sites and I can tell you that the price drop isn't becuase of the "XA Ultra". The first is a 5" phone whilst the latter is a 6". Sony's new X range have dropped in prices across the board within a few months of release because of their absurd pricing.

Around £174 in fact. I watched the launch streamed live. I think you have to give them a bit of time to actually make the things in sufficient volumes! :stuck_out_tongue: Yeah late August looks to be right but Asus are notorious for announcing stuff way too early but my ZenFone 5 is still going very strong. Had a bit of a wobble a few months back - I just hard reset the thing and it's like a new phone again now. I think they made a number of errors with ZenFone 2 - not least the horrible re-positioning of power buttons at the top and volume rocker on the back. But they've now switched everything back to where I think it feels the most intuitive.

Yeah as I know the zenfone 3 5.2 inch version will cost around £125-140,which sounds great too.People are complaining about ASUS`s op but it just you like this and I like that.
Unfortunately I have no idea when the Zenfone 3 will be available, but I heard late August which seems to be a really slow launch.

The phone looks amazing, but that`s it.Could be a nice buy around £120.Nexus 5X a big mistake from Google.
If you want a nice budget phone go for the one plus x or p9 lite, maybe one of the Honors.

Why is the nexus 5x getting so much stick. Stock android, 808 processor, one of the best cameras, v good fingerprint reader, good size, good price (169). Ive been tempted to get it for a while now but people r putting me off it

Cold from me. £170 for a 720p screen and small battery is not a good price.
I like the design. And at a lower price it might be worth considering

The Nexus 5x is a great phone. Camera is excellent, pure Google is great, it's thin, light, nice soft touch back, fingerprint reader is excellent, NFC for android pay, and I get 2 days of battery from mine. if you have the screen on all time, yeah, the battery drains like any other phone. but with a days photo taking and general use I still have 50% left. your mileage may vary.

Sure...I just hope it doesn't put off people who know of genuine bargains and want to share them. That would defeat the basic (very) reason for this website.
It is nice bottom range device, battery is not really good, camera a bit laggy.Wish they could make it a bit better, one of the best looking phone but it is overpriced!Pay £30 more for p9 lite and you won't regret it!
