This. It's not really financially logical to be buying months before the NX is out so yeah, Marky, just buy the next Nintendo home console next year or pick up a used Wii U next year.
What's holding Wii U's price so high is the GamePad because without it then it'd be around £140 new but that's the thing, Nintendo forced this gimmick so you need a GamePad to access Settings, some other stuff and certain games require it.

you are aware the Wii U is being superceded next year, aren't you? might be a good idea to wait and pick one up cheap next year.

I doubt they'll release the American Wii Selects games. tbh I'm surprised they released them in America.
