MSI exclusive Cooler Boost 3 technology creates dual thermal modules internally by allocating dedicated heat pipes for GPU and CPU. A total of 4 heat pipes and dual fans actively and effectively push heat out of the system.
The NVIDIA Geforce GTX 950M Series brings extreme, next-generation graphics performance to serious gaming notebooks. As the first graphics solution to reach a score almost 5,000 in 3DMark 11, the GeForce GTX 950M delivers extremely fast and fluid gameplay at the highest settings and resolutions in a lightweight and portable design.

I upgraded my ROG G750 to an MSI GS70 6QE and love it apart from when trying to upgrade the RAM the laptop had to be stripped down

What an odd thing to be happy about? Did you buy it as an investment?
Anyway, quick google reveals this as the first shopping link.
You cannot compare graphic card 950m with 970m... Many 6th or 7th or 8th generations GPU`s would be better than 950m. Its low-mid range gpu for light gaming.

If I were in the market for a Windows laptop, I would consider one with the specs that this model has, but I'll stick with my MacBook Pro Retina.

I bought my nephew one of these MSI laptops last year. That had a 4K screen and a 970 graphic's. He's more than happy with it, even though its a year old, it still beats a lot of newer spec'd machines today.
I've just found the receipt, I got him the MSI GS60 2QE it was £1417.00. Still seems to be holding its price today.

It is. They're spamming tons of listings. Note they ask you to email them so it would be an offsite deal. Anyone know how to report them to Amazon?

I had to it through Amazon chat, took nearly 30 minutes of my time. I can't believe they make it so difficult.
A baby clothes seller on an inactive account suddenly started selling high-end projectors and they didn't understand why I thought that was odd.

I'm currently in the market for a new laptop, but I'm not really all that knowledgeable when it comes down to it, regarding brands and such
are MSI considered a good brand of laptop to go for? I haven't really heard of them when compared to the usual suspects like Acer, HP etc.
Thanks

Have got a laptop with the Nvidia 850m (more or less the same as the 950m). It's not 'lightning fast' but it's not bad either. Just completed Metro Last Light in 1080p with everything except SSAA maxed out and it ran just fine. Having said that, I paid £562 for my laptop 18 months ago and think this machine is a bit on the pricy side...

I actually prefer it on the right now, on the ROG it was on the left and whenever I was using photoshop I used to accidentally hit it. I think the small enter key took more getting used to than the windows key as I kept hitting #.

With a 17.3" display I would want that to be 4k, but it looks like you need to use an external monitor for that resolution...
