But won't these adds add up to your daily data allowance anyway!?
That's a bit like some other operator I tried a while ago. They give you 200MB free and free calls. Problem is calls go trough Voip so you use data to make the calls!!!
If the phone is free os still a good deal, if not I would prefer an ID Card with double data in a 30day rolling contract (200min/5000text/1GB)

OP posts a deal that is available NOW whereas you retort with a deal that was available god knows when.
What's your point?
I used to buy petrol at about 5p a litre.
Nowhere you can get that deal now in the UK so if you're going to vote cold at least give us the benefit of a better deal than the OP rather than vote cold with some useless comparison!

Just an FYI for those interested in trying out the app, Tesco also give you an extra 200mb of data per month, probably so they can continue interrupting your phone use with more adverts whilst you're out and about

Yeah if it only appeared 21 days during the month that would be fine, more like 21 times in an hour. It might still be in beta but unless they fix it soon it will be getting removed and I might cancel Tesco altogether and move to Virgin for less per month, but only 3G data

Except that it's not £35, it's £50 AND you have to pay another minimum £10 for an add-on payg -- so, £60.

what happens if you've got an adblocker on your phone? I remember with ovivo we had to be subjected to ads but I had an adblocker which stopped them but I still enjoyed the tasty free goodness :stuck_out_tongue:

How do you activate this app?
Can you use an old phone with the app on it and leave it in the drawer and use the SIM on another phone without the app?

No I don't think that would work as you have to view an advert 21 days out of every month, hardly worth all the hassle for a few quid really.

the app drove me nuts ,took it off .couldnt do a thing till you cleared the ad ,very frustrating if you were trying to reply to a text or make an urgent call

just a quick heads up for anyone thinking about using the tesco extras app. the app is in beta at the moment and shows an advertisement every time the phone is turned on, often the adds are delayed slightly causing the add to interrupt whatever app you are currently using.
I have it installed on my phone and find it somewhat annoying that it displays an add every time and not around one in three times as tesco say. something to be aware of if pop-ups and the like bother you.
