Slow cooker made by Morphy Richards model number 48728 the very same that Amazon.co.uk are selling @ £34,99 with a RRP of £39,99. Even though the B&M description on the site says aluminium bowl, its actually a ceramic bowl. There are reports that the Morphy Richards 48702 (this is sold on Amazon for £22 and comes with an alluminium bowl, has non-stick coating issues). This bargain was found in B&M in Leicester (Belgrave).

My only advice be gentle with the bowl as the non-stick may come off under force... apart from that you are all good.

is the crockpot one for the same price from tesco better than this do people think, or are they pretty much the same?
I was going to go for that originally but i heard reports that in 4 hours it would cook the food to fast. I wanted something slower. You could go for that and see how you get on with a timer from Wilko's.

Its a lovely peice of kit. Literally you sear the meat, add onions, potatoes and carrots (any veg of choice) add stock and then set it on low and leave. If you are worried about over cooking, get a cheap timer from Wilkos and set it to come on at 12 lunchtime, ready for when you get home. Yummmy!!

i have the 6.5L version with a ceramic bowl. brilliant piece of equipment. in use 2-3 times a week.
one word of advice - don't leave the ceramic bowl on a hot hob...it cracks really quick  I did that. then contacted them on facebook if I can buy a replacement bowl. I got one send to me free of charge ! outstanding.

You can't sear the meat in the ceramic bowl but in a pan you can. You could get the other version but I wouldn't want to risk the nonstick coating to come off.

Bought this last year for a similar price, really good slow cooker and worth it for being able to sear meat first (pale sausages yuk
