Love aldi but wouldn't spend £75 on anything like this where I go for cheap fruit and veg... Did buy an electric rotavator there once tho randomly and it worked a treat so I could wrong! If anyone has one are they any good?

These are great tablets, my son got one when Aldi opened near us about a year ago, good screen and pretty good battery. Like the post says, great spec and a free 32Gb micro SD card so potentially 64GB storage. For £75 you cant go wrong.

Aldi don't make the product, it'll either work or it won't in which case you take it back. The days of supermarkets only selling good are long gone.

I assume this is an in-store reduction of old stock, hence why currently not online.

Ouch, that review is pretty scathing :disappointed:

Wow something cheap local to me. Heat added.
No point in it being cheap if it's by all accounts terrible. Cold.

It is NOT terrible and that review is WAY out of date. I don't own this tablet but my father does and for the money it is superb.
ALL of the negatives regarding the screen responsiveness and audio in that review have been fixed with firmware updates. The gripes about the design are totally subjective - it has an angular. Surface-like design that I quite like.
It's basically a Lenovo Tab2 A10-70 (check review here: http://www.trustedreviews.com/lenovo-tab-2-a10-70-review) with an Atom processor and a slightly different shell (arguably better, in fact, as the rear of the Medion is all metal instead of the creaky plastic back of the A10).
Don't forget - 3 year warranty, too. Update the firmware and it's an absolute bargain for £75 - the processor is speedy, it has 2Gb RAM, expandable storage and a terrific Full HD screen. It even has mini-HDMI out! What the hell more do people want for 75 quid? :stuck_out_tongue:

Got one for my son on first release for £135 then my dad got one on their next special buy release for similar price on my recommendation. They work great since the firmware update. Glad we kept it for the firmware update as it nearly went back.
Had some sumvision tablets previously which at the time were almost as much but these blew them away. Good build except for USB power port which has gone twice but easily replaced by Medion under the 3 year warranty. May have been due to a lack of care by my 7 yr old though.

Easily replaced? Im keen to hear more on this as ive heard stories of Medion requesting laptops back to Germany and the whole warranty experience being a nightmare.

Doesn't mean it's any good though. That's a big mistake people make. There are Lenovo laptops that are pure garbage.

Any time I've ever had an issue with a product within the first year I've taken it back to Aldi themselves and they've given me a refund on the spot (same for Lidl). Beyond that, I don't think I'd bother returning something to Germany after 18 months or whatever that only cost £75 to begin with. But at least the option is there.

At least Aldi take things back unlike Argos who I have had nothing but problems with they never take anything back and instead blame the customer always had problems with Argos rubbish customer service would buy from Aldi any day over them

Really not worth going to Haverhill for though, I'm from a crap part of Scotland and even I don't go to Haverhill even if the petrol was cheaper. Would be curious to see if the Saffron Walden one had the same deal though.

:smirk: fortunately Haverhill is the fastest growing town in Suffolk and has improved hugely over the last 10 years and is set to improve further in the near future. mass regeneration as more people move from Cambridge looking for affordable housing.

Well yeah logged call with Medion. Sent an email sheet. Sent off free of charge I think picked up by courier. And returned a week or so later. Would expect same or lesser experience for a uk based return. Was no bother at all.

Oh I don't pretend they don't, with the exception of high-end only brands pretty much every brand has hits and misses. I had 2 HP laptops (both £600-700) which both went back multiple times under warranty and in the end lasted little more than a year; I don't decry everything they produce as crap though.

Obviously, it won't be 'everything'.
With Medion, the microwave ovens they sell, will probably heat up your food just fine, so its more like 98% of their products are crap

You haven't got one so you don't know what your talking about. I have got one and it's a very capable tablet, it runs better than my lenovo tab 2 which isn't rubbish either.

When you've just wasted £75 on a tablet that is slow, doesn't work properly and has a terrible camera, I'm sure you'll do anything to convince yourself it's just like the iPad Pro...
It's junk. Get over it.

Oh didums, did someone spend £400 on an ipad & now feels like a mug every time someone mentions a tablet that cost a fraction doing a perfectly good job . Your obviously also one of those weirdos who goes around talking pictures of things with a tablet hahaha, maybe you should have spent your money on a decent phone with a camera..
