Asda Price Guarantee Glitch with Pampers Nappies! £3 Each (£14 packs)
Found by the bwtfyl team :)
This is what you need to do.. please follow my lists to make sure you get it right. Going outside of what I tell you to do could mess your comparison up! and boy we dont want that!
You MUST buy one (1) Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) 78 Nappies Jumbo Pack for price £14
Link @ https://groceries.asda.com/product/910001805589
and either one pack of
Pampers Baby Dry Size 5+ (Junior+) Nappies Jumbo Pack (68PK) Tesco Compare
Link @ https://groceries.asda.com/product/910001805627
or
Pampers Baby Dry Size 6 Nappies Jumbo+ Pack (64PK) Morrisons Compare
Link @ https://groceries.asda.com/product/910001806003
DO NOT BUY (THESE WILL NOT COMPARE)
Pampers Baby Dry Size 6+ (Extra Large+) Nappies Jumbo+ Pack (64PK)
Pampers Baby Dry Size 3 (Midi) Nappies Jumbo Pack (90PK)
Others may work but this is what I have tested today.
Both packs will cost you £28 but you will get a £10 off as these are on offer for 2 for £18. however because the Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) are out of stock it will think you paid £28 and then match tescos or morrisons price of £18 v £28 and give you £12 in a APG voucher. which makes each box £3 each a saving of over 66%
You also need to make sure you buy fillers..
Banana, Ginger, Onion, Carrott and also the 10p sweets. You need 7 filler items. You can only buy 1 of each with the fillers.. DO NOT BUY 7 of the SAME PRODUCT! If you add anything other then fillers to your shop the APG voucher could go down.
Here are the 10p sweets. https://groceries.asda.com/search/sweets/1/price-asc/so-false
After 3 hours visit https://www.asdapriceguarantee.co.uk/# to collect your APG of £12

Reading some of these responses makes me wonder if one should have to pass an IQ test before being allowed to breed :man:
Basically asda require you to have at least 8 items in your shop.. so you need to boost it to over 8.
If your ASDA basket contains at least 8 different items (and those items must be available on our Grocery website) and at least 1 of them is comparable to an equivalent item sold in any of the Competitors

2 Jul 16#6
Just to confirm you will pay £18.50 ish for the nappys at the till.. you go home and collect your voucher from the APG site for about £12 and reuse on more nappys or spend on your next shop.

Do you have to keep going back or will this work if you buy 5 x size 4 and 5 x size 6
Henlans to bargaingaz
2 Jul 161#12
Would work but massive APG, so break them into 2 per transaction.. I do about 5 a time as product is big.
If you do buy more then 2 then you can only do this.
You MUST buy THREE (3) Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) 78 Nappies Jumbo Pack for price £14
Untested as will give a APG of £24 which will reqiure a SV overide.

OOS online???Surely location dependant!
Online orders are from local stores - what's shows OOS for one area won't necessarily be OOS elsewhere. This takes a lot of trial and error online before going along to the store to do this.
Misleading instructions.

So do you upload your receipt in order to get the voucher from the website?
laura1986
2 Jul 16#43
Looks like you put your receipt number in to the website you have to wait 3 hours
Henlans
2 Jul 16#44
yeah, if it shows OOS online.. does not mean its OOS instore.. hence why the voucher thinks it OOS and gives you full price and not offer.

sorry to sound stupid but can I buy 7 different packs of sweets? for the filler items
darrensleech
2 Jul 16#60
Yes you can buy 7, 10p items as 'fillers'. For the APG to be valid you need at least 10 items in your basket.

8 items but I get a extra one

fijwood
2 Jul 162#63
people its not that hard the links are purely to show you to buy the correct product instore not to c&c or .com you have to leave your computer walk into asda buy a
Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) 78 Nappies Jumbo Pack
and
Pampers Baby Dry Size 6 Nappies Jumbo+ Pack (64PK) or
Pampers Baby Dry Size 5+ (Junior+) Nappies Jumbo Pack (68PK)
and the 7 extra lil things
the nappies are 2 for £18 you will pay £18 (for the nappies + extras) computer will think you paid £28 and give you APG £12 wen you get home and put receipt on
Clear as mud!!
aass11
2 Jul 16#64
Not being sarky, but is this cheaper than the Aldi/Lidl normal prices for their own brand nappies?
laura1986
2 Jul 16#65
. What am I missing? 2 packs of nappies + 7 items is 9 is it not 10 items to trigger the price guarantee??

HayleyH88
2 Jul 16#70
Does this purely depend on wether the size 4 are out of stock at your local store? Otherwise how will the computer know to recalculate?
Henlans
2 Jul 16#71
Yea online it is but should be loads in store
kjsav123
2 Jul 16#72
So the OOS notice is from wherever the APG do an online stock check. If you go to the Asda online store it asks for your postcode so that you are placing an order with the local store to you that does deliveries. So just because the APG site thinks an item is OOS doesn't mean it is for the individual.
So you're either an insider - or know where they operate from and put in a postcode for that location to check stock.
I can see people spending a lot of money instore on this and then not getting the vouchers.
Far too risky - voting cold .

2 Jul 16#73

2 Jul 16#74
Not at all, you want them to be in stock at your local store, otherwise how will you buy them? This will likely end at midnight tonight when the system updates, so instore is your best bet.
Hi Henlans, another good dealt thank you (not participating as no need for nappies anymore).

2 Jul 161#75
honestly people read the op comments above, he's tried to make it as easy as possible. buy the sizes as stated above, get receipt and check on the asda price guarantee website. you'll get a voucher off your next spend. it may be possible to return the sizes you don't need once you've used the vouchers!

some people don't understand what op means.
asda give you 10% money back if they don't beat the price!!
you have to compare your shopping online, unlike Sainsburys and the rest who do it on till the same day.
go on Asda price guarantee, type in your barcode number from receipt beginning with tc# and bingo.!! it tells you if they were cheaper or not.
then click print voucher

Do you really need more help.
This is what to do..
walk into asda.. find the baby area and pick up
1 of Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) 78 Nappies Jumbo Pack
then look for 1 of Pampers Baby Dry Size 6 Nappies Jumbo+ Pack (64PK) then make sure one says Size 4 and one says size 6
then goto the 10p sweets.. if you cant find them ask asda staff who will direct you to it.
pick up 4 different sweets. so now you have 6 items then head to the veggy area and pick up a onion and banana and a carrot.. then direct yourself to the till.. give the 9 items to the staff at the till and you then pay.. will be £18.60 ish.. then get back in your car and drive home.. then after 3 hours.. visit the asda site and enter the TX number and open a account if you need to and then print the voucher and go back to get more or use on shopping.
So simple.

Whats the different to a misprice or a error with the APG? its the same.. the system is giving you a voucher and the voucher is correct its just the system is not working right.. the same as a misprice.

When you use them make sure you use 2 vouchers a time as if it goes over £50 to spend a sv had to ok it and they take ages to come over
But then again it would be £48 but instil would only use 2 a time but it's upto you.

Most deals will work until 5am the following day. I will know at 6am if its not working or maybe it will work and test.
The ones that match tesco will end on tuesday as the offer ends, the ones that match morrisons will match until morries end that promotion or until wednesday or thursday this week. however since there are the new ones 86 ones you may find stocks are gone or limited.

3 Jul 16#245
I don't understand why you can't exchange the size 4s back at the store once you receive the voucher. Can anyone clarify please?
Henlans
3 Jul 16#246
I guess its upto the store, I just dont bother, maybe a bit wierd going in with 60 packs of 4 asking to change them all.. I guess the odd couple will be ok. do remember you gained a voucher because of the size 4 pack.
mtmitchell
3 Jul 16#247
has anyone tested this in Northern Ireland? (are promotions the same?)
bigpappa
3 Jul 16#248
for this deal to work you must buy size 4(78) plus one of the packs above.
bigpappa
3 Jul 16#249
For the voucher to be valid you need to take in the original receipt so if that's modified would that void the voucher?
loobyonetwothree
3 Jul 16#250
this is likely to continue to glitch if the size 4 remain oos.....but my advice would be not to go mad unless you can afford for it to not work or are happy to return stuff. I did 2 shops earlier at 13.17 and 13.18 .... both the same stuff on them.. and same nappies (both had size 4 and size 5+)....the first one missed the size 4s off the app so didn't compare at all and got less back...but the second transaction worked fine!
Henlans
3 Jul 16#251
One of your 4 were the 86 nappies ?
Bargain04
3 Jul 161#252
Confirmed mine just worked shopped at around 3.20pm
Did two transactions both with the relevant size 4 then one with size 5 and one with 5+ all baby dry didn't risk trying active fit yet.
Thanks OP

3 Jul 16#253
I had 9 different items, including 2 different types of cookies, looks like cashier scanned the same packet of cookies twice, but I still had 8 different items, not sure what went wrong? :disappointed: I bought the pampers size 4 pack of 78 & the size 5+ pack of 68 -can someone check the barcodes on my receipt to see if they were the correct ones please - pretty sure they were
emmadouglas88
3 Jul 16#254
Worked for me in Perth. Will print voucher tomorrow and redeem against more nappies. Will also try and exchange the size 4 and 5+ I got today for 4+ and 5
danby22
3 Jul 16#255
Was my nightmare when we did the shopping, but luckily avoided. You could probably get customer service to accept returns and sell them back to you tomorrow if you can convince them to do it for you. Also note 2nd column seems to show the product id's and they are different between the 2 cookies products you purchased. Might want to add a couple more products when you reattempt the purchase if you go ahead, to be extremely safe.
Visited a couple of stores myself today and one of them had run out of the size 4 (78 nappies). Luckily found some in another store and had a couple of transactions that worked as the OP mentioned. Stock was low indeed and this might stay OOS in other stores for a while, which should keep this deal alive [assuming one can still get hold of the coveted size 4 pack]. In your case, if you are returning/purchasing at the same time you should still be able to take advantage of this glitch.
Thanks again to the OP - it's a great saving indeed!:laughing:
Henlans
3 Jul 16#256
This is what you need to do.. please follow my lists to make sure you get it right. Going outside of what I tell you to do could mess your comparison up! and boy we dont want that!

my local store opens at 7am, depends when i get up but i may pay my local a visit!
Can anyone update in the morning if there store opens earlier. Thanks!
ps, looks a little weird but if you get 1 banana, orange, carrot etc ALL LOOSE they will compare OK.
cazsilver
3 Jul 16#258
Yes, but I did follow your list! I got the right nappies and 8 different items!
archie41
3 Jul 16#259
cookies have different bar codes.iffy items are the asda trigger, whatever that is. and maybe one or both ofthe bin bags.
karlie88
3 Jul 16#260
But you didn't get the filler items that henlans suggested. Some items, for one reason or another, don't compare and therefore don't count. If you do go outside the suggested filler items, then get 9 or 10 different items, rather than the 8.
cazsilver
3 Jul 16#261
I got 9 different items as the cookies bar codes were different - Anyway so the fillers I need to buy are single fruit & veg items and the 10p sweets then? Not sure I can be bothered to try again, my nearest Asda is over 6 miles away - got to take these nappies back though
Henlans
3 Jul 16#262
But you bought your own fillers, the fillers are just to take you over the 8 items you need to get the lowest price for the nappies. That's why I gave an example to buy. What I have done for years that never fails.
Henlans
3 Jul 16#263
The reason I said about the sweets and veg is that I know it will compare they way you shopped was like a minefield. Just follow my list and you will not fail.
Henlans
3 Jul 16#264
I will post at 6am and tell you if it won't work or if it may work. So you can try yourself or wait for me to post. at this time it should work fine.

3 Jul 16#265

Helens, thanks for the post, I'm about to try this glitch.
One thing I don't understand is that you say however because the Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) are out of stock it will think you paid £28 and yet you are buying your recommended Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) 78 Nappies Jumbo Pack for price £14 .....so they are not out of stock.
could you explain this please. Many thanks.
lisa864
4 Jul 16#282
The size 4 are out of stock online, so the asda price guarantee thinks that you have paid £28 for the two packs. So it compares the £28 in asda against morrisons or tesco price depending on what other size nappies you buy

Do you use own brand tinned veg,we use their smartprice tins as fillers, corn, peas, carrots etc,or own brand cordial.
You're best sticking to unbranded stuff for fillers(aside from the 10p sweets of course)we have also previously bought their own brand cling film & foil.

5 Jul 16#326
Why would you want to do that? I don't know what would happen but your getting a great deal, doing that could make them end the apg? Unless I'm reading this wrong.
You get at least 7 weeks to use the voucher if you redeem it 3 weeks later by claiming the voucher and then 4 weeks to spend it.
Bargain04
5 Jul 16#327
I didn't mean the transaction from where I gained a voucher but where I used one if that makes things clearer in case can't use then all up by the deadline as not a regular shopper at Asda if you see what I mean.
Thanks
Henlans
5 Jul 16#328
Ohh ok, I have edited the above to cover your question
Henlans
5 Jul 161#329
When you check a receipt, your not claiming it. You need to press claim voucher which then gives you 28 days to spend it, however you get 28 days before you need to press the voucher button and then 28 days to spend it.
Whypaymore29

I've now hit the £100 monthly limit on my APG claim. If I end up buying more I'll have to create a new account
Plus I also need to spend £75 in asda in a month - I've not been using the coupons to keep buying the next lot  do you think I'll get away with using 6 APG coupons in 1 big transaction? I could just do a monthly shop I guess and bulk up the total with some expensive items.

Morrisons on-line still showing Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 Nappies Jumbo+ 78 Pack reduced from £14 to £9, and then Pampers Baby Dry Size 6 Nappies Jumbo+ 64 per pack reduced from £14 to £9. I have not tested it - but would not that price comparison work with Asda's APG as previously outlined by Henlans?
i tried yesterday at 10pm and only got £7 voucher as its compare size 6 nappies at £14 instead of £9. can some1 please confirm is dats d case now or u guys still receiving £12 voucher

If your ASDA basket contains at least 8 different items (and those items must be available on our Grocery website) and at least 1 of them is comparable to an equivalent item sold in any of the Competitors
If you do buy more then 2 then you can only do this.
You MUST buy THREE (3) Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) 78 Nappies Jumbo Pack for price £14
Link @ https://groceries.asda.com/product/910001805589
and either one pack of
Pampers Baby Dry Size 5+ (Junior+) Nappies Jumbo Pack (68PK) Tesco Compare

or
Pampers Baby Dry Size 6 Nappies Jumbo+ Pack (64PK) Morrisons Compare

Untested as will give a APG of £24 which will reqiure a SV overide.
How do you buy a product that is out of stock in store?
Hot.
Online orders are from local stores - what's shows OOS for one area won't necessarily be OOS elsewhere. This takes a lot of trial and error online before going along to the store to do this.
Misleading instructions.
Misleading instructions?? I am in england and it works for me and many others all over the UK.
Its not showing size 4 online
But the instructions are not clear to be honest. And i think its not guaranteed
what
Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) 78 Nappies Jumbo Pack
and
Pampers Baby Dry Size 6 Nappies Jumbo+ Pack (64PK) or
Pampers Baby Dry Size 5+ (Junior+) Nappies Jumbo Pack (68PK)
and the 7 extra lil things
the nappies are 2 for £18 you will pay £18 (for the nappies + extras) computer will think you paid £28 and give you APG £12 wen you get home and put receipt on
Clear as mud!!
easy
So you're either an insider - or know where they operate from and put in a postcode for that location to check stock.
I can see people spending a lot of money instore on this and then not getting the vouchers.
Far too risky - voting cold .
I've done over thousand of pounds over the last 4 years
It will work just do as I said
Hi Henlans, another good dealt thank you (not participating as no need for nappies anymore).
What does that stand for,are you a new cult leader
asda give you 10% money back if they don't beat the price!!
you have to compare your shopping online, unlike Sainsburys and the rest who do it on till the same day.
go on Asda price guarantee, type in your barcode number from receipt beginning with tc# and bingo.!! it tells you if they were cheaper or not.
then click print voucher
So simple.

What do you mean by do 5 at a time? You mean in one transaction?
Thanks
What
Pampers Baby Dry Size 6+ (Extra Large+) Nappies Jumbo+ Pack (64PK) v Tesco.
Will also work as long as you get size 4 baby dry.
Just did the asda price check 3 hours later and it's worked as expected, I got £11.88 in a voucher, so it differs slightly but i'm happy with that!
Thank you OP!
just wondering if we can try buying size 4 + any other size?
any help will be appreciated
keep up the great work OP will check if we have them in Belfast tomorrow
http://www.tesco.com/groceries/specialoffers/specialofferdetail/?promoId=A32026968
your welcome to test.. but you need size 4.. and any 1 of them.. not saying they will work but dont bother with size3 that didnt work for me.
When you go in to redeem the voucher, I mostly use the self service tills, you will need to scan the voucher barcode and then the barcode on the reciept and it takes it off.. so your pay about £6.xx
i did wonder on one of your previous posts you could get 3 size 4 and another. you did warn that it would give a large apg if it did work though
I reckon your easy get £5 for the size 4 which would mean you paid a £1 for a jumbo pack of nappies.
Its the circle of life.
I will be heading to Asda in an hour
But then again it would be £48 but instil would only use 2 a time but it's upto you.
my shops are due back in 5 minutes for today!

1x Giant Strawberry Stripes (1PK) £0.10 £0.10
1x Haribo Starmix (1PK) £0.10 £0.10
1x Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) Nappies Jumbo Pack (78PK) £14.00 £9.00
1x Barratt Flumps (12G) £0.10 £0.10
1x Pampers Baby Dry Size 5+ (Junior+) Nappies Jumbo Pack (68PK) £14.00 £9.00
You need to only do 2 nappy packs per transaction.
I might go back and try find some 78 size 4. I am not confident that the size 4 (86) will work.
I bought 9 items - should I have bought 10?
Also I used the self checkout. Will that make any difference?
only a few
to find my printers broke :disappointed:
I was sweating it, hoping the deal wouldn't expire before I could check.
Still working at 5:25pm :sunglasses:
So far these are confirmed.
Pampers Baby Dry Pants Size 5 Jumbo+ Pack
Pampers Baby Dry Size 5 (Junior) Nappies Jumbo Pack (72PK)
Pampers Baby Dry Size 5+ (Junior+) Nappies Jumbo Pack (68PK)
Pampers Baby Dry Size 6 Nappies Jumbo+ Pack (64PK)
Pampers Baby Dry Size 6+ (Extra Large+) Nappies Jumbo+ Pack (64PK)
Do not work
Pampers Baby Dry Size 3 (Midi) Nappies Jumbo Pack (90PK)
Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) Nappies Jumbo Pack (86PK)
The ones that match tesco will end on tuesday as the offer ends, the ones that match morrisons will match until morries end that promotion or until wednesday or thursday this week. however since there are the new ones 86 ones you may find stocks are gone or limited.
Did two transactions both with the relevant size 4 then one with size 5 and one with 5+ all baby dry didn't risk trying active fit yet.
Thanks OP
Visited a couple of stores myself today and one of them had run out of the size 4 (78 nappies). Luckily found some in another store and had a couple of transactions that worked as the OP mentioned. Stock was low indeed and this might stay OOS in other stores for a while, which should keep this deal alive [assuming one can still get hold of the coveted size 4 pack]. In your case, if you are returning/purchasing at the same time you should still be able to take advantage of this glitch.
Thanks again to the OP - it's a great saving indeed!:laughing:
Return and start again. thats the only way!
Can anyone update in the morning if there store opens earlier. Thanks!
ps, looks a little weird but if you get 1 banana, orange, carrot etc ALL LOOSE they will compare OK.
I hoping they will have some fillers as they don't sell food
Could buy some baby milk for my twins?
One thing I don't understand is that you say however because the Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) are out of stock it will think you paid £28 and yet you are buying your recommended Pampers Baby Dry Size 4 (Maxi) 78 Nappies Jumbo Pack for price £14 .....so they are not out of stock.
could you explain this please. Many thanks.
What other filler items can i buy.
(Ive bought lenor/fairy for next month)
Need something small that can be stored in cupboard but used so im not just spending money for sake of saving money...
You're best sticking to unbranded stuff for fillers(aside from the 10p sweets of course)we have also previously bought their own brand cling film & foil.
by the way henlans, did you literally go in and out each time buying 2 packs to build up your stock pile? anyone confirmed if 3x size 4 and 1x other will double the apg payout?
Bought baby food and chocolates as fillers .. Didn't have 10p sweets
Is that right ?
But it compared to morrisons
£41.72 in Asda 37.16 in morrisons
I also bought pampers size 3 as was on offer £7
Not 10% cheaper
Not 10% cheaper
