All Google games ask for your ID so it can log you into Google games.
Well not all of them but the ones that are supported by leaderboards/achievements etc.

For anyone with some time and spare cash on their hands you should take a look at this:
While I was browsing the pinball games on the App Store, what do I end up finding, but remakes of the Amiga classics, Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies - in 3D, HD, really accurate, right down to the old tunes. Ahhhh memories. But they were £2.99 each so Turkey, you even managed to make me buy something that wasn't part of your deal.
