I started cycling again last year and thought I should kit myself out with some cycling gear. I am only really commuting to work and doing a few weekend rides but when I started to see the prices for some of the stuff I thought Forget That!! I knew Aldi did Special Buys and saw they were doing cycling kit. I usually think if you buy something cheap it'll fall apart and will need replacing sooner rather than later but to my untrained eyes the cycle shorts\jerseys etc were really good quality and at a suitable price. I have not been disappointed by any of the gear I have bought and have in fact kept a keen eye on all Cycling Special Buy Events. I've picked up some really good bargains and they have served me very well.
I would recommend them for any like-minded\similar ability cyclists.

Agreed the toolkit is excellent. Don't expect it to last forever, and some of the parts are easily damaged, but for the price you won't do better.
Also the track pump is decent enough for the price but won't go over 80psi so fine for mountain bikes and commuting bikes but no good for skinny tyres.

The tool kit is very good value. I got mine last year ,no problem with it.

Is the tool kit worth buying?

Always found Aldi gear pretty decent to be honest, never had any issues with quality.

I like the Team GB kit! Or do I just have tacky taste? Ha.

Do disagree there.High5 ones are the best imo.
Other kit is all Team GB stuff which looks pretty bad.
Decent value but couldn't say good quality .

If it's anything like the rest of the stuff they've been knocking out over the last 4 or 5 years then the quality is very good, excellent for the money. I've got shorts, bib-shorts, winter leggins, tops, a jacket and waterproof trousers and can't complain about any of it! I really don't care about how it looks as I tend not to cruise around town wearing my cycling gear!

I can recommend the electrolyte tabs - easily as good as the Hi 5 ones, and much cheaper.

Hi 5 tabs can be bought same price if you buy a few tubes

Aldi bike gear is generally reasonable quality and very good value. I'll certainly pick up a couple of pairs of gloves which are much cheaper than equivalents elsewhere don't need anything at the moment else or would certainly consider these. Hot.

Be careful, I got a couple of pairs last time and they were shocking quality, the Velcro strap fail on one pair within 2 rides and the others came apart at the seams. Maybe I just got unlucky, but a mate had the same issue with he Velcro?!?! Shame as the first pair I ever got from there were great and lasted a while.

Someone posted just the men's Jersey in the title and another post had cycle socks for 99p also a couple of pumps posted separately. So can't see what's wrong with this, I for one didn't click past the title in any of the other posts, but I have seen what's on offer now.
