Voting is free for the common man (also for the rich man) in general elections. This isn't a general election, it is a squabble in a party composed of really quite different types of people that look very likely to split. It's a problem when you have a two party system (which we still essentially have). The "left" and the "right" parties contain a whole mixture of people, when one of them shifts towards extremist then they lose their centrist vote and have little chance of getting in power.

Those the Telegraph articles with inflammatory headlines that basically say "Corbyn isn't actually accused of anything, but he once wrote for a 80s left wing magazine that said "we abhor violence and bombs, but think it might be a good idea to talk to the IRA to understand what they want so we can work towards ending the fighting?"

Most of the claims I've seen levelled at Corbyn end up looking like that when you read in to them.

The figure is widely believed to be in excess of £100bn over the course of Trident's lifetime. Irrespective to the figure you believe, the fact remains that this is going to cost us a lot of money.

Security must always come first, without that you risk losing everything. We will use it if we are attacked with nuclear weapons, that must always be the case otherwise the theory of deterrance, which it is based on, will not work.
