I was torn between this tablet and the "lesser" model for my parents http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4648774.htm so decided to reserve both and view them to check specs as I didn't want just 1GB ram, they brought out 2 identical boxes with identical specs (both 2GB ram) so bought the cheaper one.

Did anyone else see the Argos supplement together with the Daily Mail today? (Saturday)
It showed the Tab 2 HD tablet reduced from £179.99 down to £149.99 yet the website still shows it at the higher price...

I've bought one too - 2gb ram. Quite pleased with it, screen is nice and bright and surprisingly nippy

well my nearest Argos only had the tablet at £119. can confirm it does have 2gb ram

right... gonna get the 2gb Ram version then at £119.99.
The version at £109.99 has the correct specs on the Argos / Ebay site = 1gb RAM

Just read "SugarRays" post, he went to the shop and checked the spec of both and they were identical, both had 2GB RAM. If you click his link you would see he's talking about the £109 model.
The spec listed on Argos is for the wrong model anyway, it doesn't say 1GB RAM in the spec either its in the Q&A.
Originally this device (A10-30F) had 1GB of RAM but as two people above have said, it now has 2GB of RAM.
Personally I would reserve and collect in store though as its possible they still might have some old stock with 1GB RAM

Yeah they must have revised the original spec and added 2GB or RAM.
Thanks for posting

he isn't. . I asked a question about it

25 Jul 16#24
I know you did I quoted you.
Just to be clear, the £109 and £119 are the same model with the lower resolution, this had already been confirmed by SugarRay.
As for the newer A10-70F (£179) yes that has also been as low as £109 at John Lewis.
Who ever runs the Argos site should be shot, they mix up models and descriptions all the time.

Just to point out on the white one at £109.99 which I have now found lol.
Although it states 2gb ram and 1920 x 1200 screen resolution everything else points it to the lower spec A10-30. The EAN number, the model number, front and rear cameras and the processor are all wrong for it to be the tab 2 A10-70 which I have and point to the A10-30. Now as I said earlier Lenovo don't make this tablet anymore, not really sure if they actually made it in the first place as according to the sticker on the back as it says made FOR Lenovo, but there is a chance that to use up manufacturing stock there could be some hybrids out there. There is also the chance that Argos have screwed up their descriptions which is more likely.

It wouldn't open any of the three links which were posted by Wotan and still won't. Maybe something to do with Wotan using Argos mobile site and my macbook not liking the link. Opened yours perfectly and to satisfy your questioning of me looking I went to:

Just collected this an hour ago and I am using it now. I have unboxed and checked the specs and it really is lenovo tab2 a10-30 with 2GB RAM. The only thing is that the resolution is lower compared to the £179 lenovo tab 2 a10 full HD. I am just not aware how to post a screenshot on this comment (_;)but yeah. 2GB RAM for my 5y/o son ain't so bad

Are you sure its got 2GB of RAM?
FYI - Screenshot is Volume Down + Power Button.
Your have to upload the image somewhere first (imgur.com for example) before you can post it here.
Its probably the same model because if you hit the blue option it changes to £119.
Then again maybe Lenovo had a refresh of this series and they now have 2GB of RAM which "rpaderna08" seems to indicate then it could possibly be a model with 1GB RAM.
I don't see any Lenovo tabs on the Argos website for £109.99. The link posted by Wotan doesn't work for me. The Tab 2 A10-30 is the lower spec model. As for this model having 2gb ram it's the first I have heard of it. It's possible as Lenovo don't make this tablet any more so the last batch could have been a mix and match of the A10-30 and the A10-70, the latter being the higher spec model with 2gb ram and 1920 x 1200 screen res. Different processor also if I remember right.

so what about the model at £109.99 them? whats the difference?
Smartguy1
24 Jul 16#10
It was this price for the higher spec model back in January at Tesco, Amazon and JL with 1920 x 1200 resolution and 2gb ram. I know I bought one. Same price for a lesser spec is not a good deal for me and whilst memory is cheap I can't think why manufacturers keep skimping on it. Cold from me unfortunately.

So the newer model is £10 cheaper? the 1920 x 1200 is £109.99 ?

They seem to have several different Tab A's
Can someone please explain to me what the difference is? All descriptions say 2gb ram.
32GB built in and memory card support for 16GB? Argos tech specs are laughable.

Not sure that they have got the right specs, as in Q&A, the rep says this has 1GB. Don't think this is a lenovo tab 2, but just a lenovo tab

If you check the Q/A on the Argos site you will see this is the 1GB version. As usual they screw up the description. Screen is also the lower spec 1280 X 800 pixel as opposed to the newer 1920 X 1200 version.
