Had to lift the tray of tiny melons (Honey melon size) to get at the large ones underneath.

Expired but they were tiny in my local Tesco so didn't buy. The ones today were huge. (They could only fit 5 per tray)

My mum is absolutely convinced watermelons are among the most poisonous fruits available on the market - because she was told by rat poison suppliers not to consume them (due to the amount of rat poison apparently necessary for the watermelon to grow to full size instead of getting eaten prematurely by rats...)
Can't find anything online to either prove or disprove this belief...
(and another old wives tale my aunt regularly says is that women shouldn't eat watermelons because it's not healthy for them... something to do with the larger amount of volume of bacteria potentially in a watermelon). I think it's utter nonsense but can't find anything as well to disprove it.
It's £2 at my local Asda (Ware) but went to Harlow Asda last week and it was £3?

I hate to be a spoilysport but the bigger they are, the bigger and harder the seeds are! I'd stick with the smaller ones

Returning Melons to Asda is easy for me because they built a brand new store next to my house.
Fun ways with melon.
