Next day delivery normally costs like £7.50 on most stuff and weekend deliveries are like £15 so when I have paid £35 for prime (student discount) it easily makes up for it.

I use prime for both the music and tv and Amazon pantry to bulk buy essentials so it works out OK to take the subscription hit and I buy a lot of items on Amazon using camel camel camel to track item prices and then get it delivered slower to qualify for extra credit to reduce my Amazon pantry bill so for me it works but I suppose it's not for everyone
