I have just spotted the banner on amazon deals page for Free £10 credit for 3 months free trial of Audible.
For whom who didn't get the promotional £10 credit (90 days validity). Only applicable on items sold by Amazon.
Enjoy Prime Day.

I'm not sure I understand how Audible works:- is it a free unlimited listen-to-as-much-as-you-want type thing after the 3month trial? Or are you paying £7.99 a month to download 1 book every month? (once the trial ends)

Your credit will not show. However, if you buy a product sold by Amazon, a -£10 credit will be added to reduce the cost of your purchase.
BTW. It's instant. I signed up, went and purchased an Amazon Fire TV, and the -£10 was already there. Then after purchasing, I went and cancelled my audible account immediately.

Great deal.. not only that but you get 1 audible credit as well, plus if you "cancel membership" they offer you another credit if you've spent the first one
* The £10 credit only applies to items sold by Amazon at the website http://www.amazon.co.uk. The offer does not apply to purchases made from Amazon's Warehouse Deals or from third-party sellers on Amazon Marketplace.
* Also excludes digital products, gift cards and baby and infant formula.
* You will receive an e-mail from that indicates the £10 credit has been added to your customer account.

This is handy if you're not a Prime member, have used the trial and want to take advantage of todays deals.
I signed up to prime monthly for £7.99.. Then signed up to Audible trial, got my £10 voucher which covers the Prime cost, purchased my item, sadly only £2.01 discount but took advantage of free guaranteed next day delivery.

You don't have to pay for a full year if you don't want to.. Pay for a month at £7.99 and get £10 back is a much better deal, having a free trial and getting £10 back is even better
Elevation
12 Jul 16#108
Hang on, if you've just paid £7.99 wouldn't you actually be getting £2.01 back? I mean I know a ton of people do actually fall for the smoke and mirrors that comprises Amazon's business practice but really....?

The credit is only valid on items which are sold and dispatched by Amazon. Not items which are Fulfilled by Amazon.
From Audible:
"The £10 promotional credit will be automatically applied at checkout to your next Amazon purchase that includes over £10 worth of items sold and shipped by Amazon. Your available credit will appear in the payments section when you place a qualifying order. This credit will not appear in the "Your Account" section as that only relates to gift card balances. Please note, the £10 credit cannot be applied to third-party merchants or FBA sellers. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."

That is odd! Try the following link, this is where they recommend going if its not working:
I already had an amazon account opened a new one with a different email address but same credit card and had email confirmation within 30 seconds of setting up Audible trial to say my £10 discount now active.

I too had the same issue. As many has suggested the issue might be with the payment card. I did the following steps in my prime account and got the email "Your £10 Amazon credit is ready to use". Worth a try for who has not got the £10 credit yet.
1. Changed my payment option in Amazon to a credit card from debit which I had used to signup. (the moment it was changed the prime was active)
2. Go to Settings -> Manage Audible Membership - Manage payment information and selected the new credit card.
3. Wait for a minute and you should get the £10 credit email.
**Note : The credit card I used was already linked to another Amazon Prime account.
Good luck!

Hmmmm maybe you had it before or perhaps don't count as a new customer?
I set up three new accounts from scratch to get my free 30 quid today and not had any problems at all, each one the email confirming my tenner credit dropped in within seconds of taking the three month trial of Audible.
I've spent two of the 10 spots so far with one order going me to me mum's and the other to mine. Got me eye on something else coming up at 5 if the discount is decent enough which I'll get shipped to mine I suppose. Also I cancelled the Audible sub as soon as the items I bought with the free tenners were confirmed.

Private club deals are not a hot deal for the vast majority of people.
You have to pay £96 a year to be a club member.
Because we have different opinions about what is a hot deal or not that does not make either of us a troll.

Though it's possible I used that Mastercard to sign up to the Audible trial on the first new account I can't 100% confirm that because I have already cancelled it, the minute my order with the £10 credit despatched I shut the three month trial down.

Just read the below.
When you enroll in the Free Trial, our system sends an authorisation request to your financial institution to confirm your credit card is a valid payment method. Once the credit card is authorised, you will be enrolled in the Free Trial and have 1 credit on your account. If you're unable to enroll in the trial, it may be that your credit card was not authorised, and you'll need to update your payment information.
cecilmcroberts
12 Jul 16#293
It does seem pricey. I'm due three 4.5 hour drives on my own and was thinking this might be a good idea. I've listened to the sample of a few books and the narration was terrible would put me to sleep driving! Ended up going for Devil May Care (UNABRIDGED) Author: Sebastian Faulks - 007 novel which apparently won some audio books awards few years back. Book says 8 hours 21 minutes listening.
tiggerloveslife
12 Jul 16#294
Glad it's not just me being a complete cheapskate as wasn't sure if this was the "going" rate for this kind of service especially as I found the few samples I'd listened to were pretty awful...thought I'd maybe just "selected" the wrong samples to listen to but guessing that seeing as you found the same thing it's definitely not just me as very unlikely we'd both selected exactly the same samples to listen to...mind you I do suffer from insomnia so this may well be the perfect cure...now when I think about it that would be well worth paying £7.99 a month for...lol...

My question is, can you re-start the membership trial and get another £10?
BTW. It's instant. I signed up, went and purchased an Amazon Fire TV, and the -£10 was already there. Then after purchasing, I went and cancelled my audible account immediately.
Just ordered it and no sign of money off :disappointed:
I signed up to prime monthly for £7.99.. Then signed up to Audible trial, got my £10 voucher which covers the Prime cost, purchased my item, sadly only £2.01 discount but took advantage of free guaranteed next day delivery.
I need a few items as well which are on good deals so it's a win win!
Heat added.
I can get free next day delivery from a lot of places to be honest and don't have to pay for the privilege so I'm ok thanks.
In my house, I am the prime account holder - I've added my daughter as my +1.
I have applied for the audible trail with £10 bonus.
Will she get the £10 bonus if she signs up to audible too?
Is there a way to make this work - so that she gets £10 and I get £10?
I took the 30 day a few years ago and got it again today
I only have one
Cancel anytime, without hassles. You’ll also get our Great Listen Guarantee– exchange a book that didn’t meet your expectations.
Also the product needs to be sold by amazon (and not fulfilled as far as i can see)
The Audible free trial offer is only available to new members.
I have never had audible before, not even a trial..... :smirk:
From Audible:
"The £10 promotional credit will be automatically applied at checkout to your next Amazon purchase that includes over £10 worth of items sold and shipped by Amazon. Your available credit will appear in the payments section when you place a qualifying order. This credit will not appear in the "Your Account" section as that only relates to gift card balances. Please note, the £10 credit cannot be applied to third-party merchants or FBA sellers. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."

Just bought myself a Paperwhite for £69.99! I was going to buy it a few weeks back then seen the Prime Day adverts and held off thankfully.
Good luck!
i have different emails and cards on both but says only for new members when i click through.
any ideas?
I just told you how!
I use my mum's card on my account and my card on her account regularly, Amazon's system is actually very easy going like that, so just enter your card details correctly in any new account
Hardly rocket science, blimey :smirk:
Im sure I wont sleep very well tonight for fear of the morale police banging my door down!
And if you're still worried about using the same card, well use different cards as I'm sure you'll have a couple of credit cards to go along with your bank card
Everyone loves free money :sunglasses:
£10 Audible Voucher
£5 Amazon Voucher (ordered a £30 Gift card to be delivered...who doesn't need Amazon Credit)
£3 Pantry credit (No Rush Delivery)
So in my head I have paid £1.99 for the stick
Bargain!!
I got the email saying the promotional voucher has been added to my account.
and
get £5 off when you spend £20 on prime now app only
Says
The Audible free trial offer is only available to new members.
wut?
any ideas
Decisions decisions..
Signed Up, got the £10 Credit emailed to me almost immediately - Can I just cancel my Audible 3 Month Trial now before downloading any Audio Books and the £10 Credit will still work?
Just don't want to forget about Audible and accidentally pay £7.99 once the 3 Months have expired.
Now used my £10 discount credit against an Amazon Fire TV with 4K Ultra HD for £44 instead of £79.99 !
start new account under new email
do free prime trial
do audible trial trial
use different carad and slighly modified address
use £10 voucher + £20 to buy gift voucher
spend the £30 + 70 to buy shield
get £5 tomorrow / thursday and spend it forwarding new gift voucher to old account
The message they got was... "The Audible free trial offer is only available to new members."
I took out the free trial earlier today.
Obviously you can work around this with new accounts etc

I managed to get on the Tomtom 5100 deal which lasted like 30 seconds before it was gone, so put my last gifted 10 spot toward that.
Been on my radar quite a while now but couldn't justify the best part of two n half for a sat nav in this day and age, worked out £149.99 which is far more acceptable :sunglasses:
Nothing to see here, everyone move along please :smirk:
You have to pay £96 a year to be a club member.
Because we have different opinions about what is a hot deal or not that does not make either of us a troll.
I did that by using common sense, or are you going to claim you need to be a member of a 'private club' to own this ickle thing called a brain too?
I need a fan or clock, but can't find one that's sold and fulfilled by Amazon
Thanks
If you don't like it here please don't let make an Audible noise on your way out. I'm primed to not hear it anyway.
Done
Though it's possible I used that Mastercard to sign up to the Audible trial on the first new account I can't 100% confirm that because I have already cancelled it, the minute my order with the £10 credit despatched I shut the three month trial down.
Is anyone else experiencing problems cancelling the 30 day Prime trial by the way?
P.S did you get the £2 digital credit also for the firestick? Ordered one for my niece then only noticed when the email came through about it.
Thank you for purchasing from Amazon.co.uk.

Offer valid while supplies last. Audible reserves the right to modify or cancel at any time.
Ignore me I'm just blind!
A bit **** that they offer the code when you sign up then remove it.
I am not keen on Culture novels, although non Sci-Fi Banks may be tempting me.
In my head they now paid me a penny to take one....ha ha!
Thanks for the reply, look forward to setting it up
also available with 10 euro credit on amazon.de, may come in handy.
I did this and got £10 & 10 euro credit on the same amazon account, only thing is how do I spend the euro credit? Is there anything on the german site with free international shipping?
This particular £10 Credit automatically appears on normal and Prime orders placed on the Amazon web site BUT it does NOT appear if you try to order using the PrimeNow app on your phone which means I cannot stack the £5 PrimeNow5 code and this particular £10 credit together!
Back of the net...
I got my 3rd credit yesterday. used it and went to cancel. I was offered another free credit to stay which I took, used and then cancelled. I used "not using service enough" as reason for leaving in case that makes any difference.
