how's it £130? I can see the £20 off Which offer, but that's on orders over £150. this phone is £149.98 and then there's £1 for the Which trial. So what to but from appliances direct to put the order just over £150 and then factor in the £1 trial, I suspect it's more like £135-£140

I would expect very good battery lifeout of the 5c.

In the few weeks i've had it, I would say the Moto G4 battery life is DIRE compared to the Honor range. Honor have a fairly unique built-in way of stopping battery draining background apps, which the Moto does not. I've really noticed a difference. Anyone know of an equivalent app for the Moto to help prolong the battery?

I was thinking which is better 5c or p9 lite.Both same,but with no fp sensor on 5c.Now the price between these two is £30 with ongoing deals P9 lite with Vodafone costs £160!So considering that extra £30,it is a hard decision.

But for sure it both better than Lenovo Moto G4.

I got the g4 other week for 130 , advantage over honor, stock android, updated o.s for two yrs, one of the first to get the N update , find battery good, also has has turbo charging, great price , amazing phone

I hope this works. Emui can be customized, but it close apps in the background I want open! Like a clipboard app I use, and it keeps turning off accessibility for lastpass. It uses it to import passwords to chrome and I have to re enable it everytime.

honor 5c has its own battery manager .

has anyone here got a honor 5C? i want to know a few things:

1. is there a gyroscope so it's compatible with google cardboard VR games and pokemon go AR mode?
2. some website says sim2 and memory card slots share the same slot. what does that mean?
3. Do both sim1 and sim2 slots support 3G/4G?

Means you can either use 2nd sim or memory card but not both.

i thought the same but that doesn't make any sense since memory card reader and sim card reader are different...do you own an actual Honor 5C?

Loads of phones have a second SIM card slot that can be used for Micro SD cards as well.

If I hadn't got the 5x a few weeks ago (replace my moto G 2nd gen) then I would have definitely got the 5c instead. Slightly smaller screen, Android 6 and apparently less sluggish according to this site:

Really like the 5x btw and in compsarison to my previous moto g it's not sluggish at all.

G4 looks a good price, anyone have one and want to comment on the overheating issues? Thinking of replacing a Voda Smart Ultra 6 with one and that's the only thing that concerns me :smiley:

Doze, yes, but the Honor's have a built-in power system which zaps draining apps immediately (white list available). Doze also only kicks in after 30 minutes of non activity. It doesn't stop background draining apps as far as I know that well. You can see a bit of this power management in the screenshot above from @Tragedy.

The actual connections are on opposite sides of the slot so the sim card would be read from the top or the memory card from the bottom.

It's not actually my phone, thinking of replacing for someone else. No great black marks against, imo is an incredible phone for the money. However person using it came from a Nexus and just finds a few things a bit annoying with the interface Etc. Figure the Motorola possibly a better fit given how close it is to stock android.

Is the lack of the 800 Mhz frequency on the Honor 5C likely to matter? I'm on Three btw and they use 800 and 1800 Mhz for 4G LTE.

ordered moto g4 just now using the Which £20 off code but delivery is £4.95, I reckon it should be £2.95 but hey ho. £134.95 plus £1 for the Which trial and should get a couple of quid back from TopCashBack. I paid the £1 trial by direct debit which makes it much easier to cancel if I have any issue with cancelling direct with Which. Just cancel the direct debit via online banking.

Well guys, after a couple of days testing the Honor 5C I have to say that I'm totally satisfied. I was a bit scared about the quality of the photos as I'm coming from a Moto G 3rd Generation and the rear camera is a 13MP too. Regarding this point in some cases the Moto G camera will take better photos than the Honor 5C, but in others it won't, I'm happy with it anyway, let me put some photos about it.




The other important thing I have to say regarding the Honor 5C is that it does not count with a gyroscope, so if you guys were expecting to catch some pokemon taking advantage of the camera forget about it, it will complain that it does not detect the gyroscope. For me this is not a problem I just wanted to play pokemon and it runs so good I have to say (in my previous phone it ran super slow)...

The other big thing about this phone is that it has NFC so Android pay can be used with this mobile. I haven't tried it yet because my bank does no count with Android pay yet.

Very frustrating as signed up for Which for the voucher but alas no email from them with the discount code. Anyone else had this issue? Support ticket in the community pages raised but already wasted a whole lunch break at work on this. Would have been easier to pay full price and order from Amazon!

It is hard to convey in a few words just what a shocking experience I've had trying to buy the G4 from this company but I'll give it a go so that people can see just what to expect if they order from this company.

On the 9th of August I placed an order for the phone that the website stated was in stock and received confirmation it would be delivered on the 12th. However on the 11th an email arrived stating it would now be delivered on the 17th and checking the order tracking revealed they were awaiting stock. When I checked their website it was still shown as in stock so I called them for an explanation only to be told, astonishingly, that though they didn't actually have any it was still in stock as if I ordered it that day they'd get stock in time to deliver it for the 17th! I was bemused at this but foolishly decided foolishly to wait till the 17th.

Come the end of the afternoon on the 16th I'd received no confirmation that the order had been dispatched so phoned them again; oh and it was still shown as in stock on the site. This time I was told it was in stock as they'd just received three containers from their supplier so my order would be fulfilled on the 17th. My relief was short-lived as no more than five minutes later they emailed to say "Our supplier has informed us that they have changed their delivery schedule for your area and your new delivery date will be the 18/08/2016". Wait a minute! What do you mean your supplier is delivering it! You just told me you have them in stock. Who, I asked, was lying to me. Ah came their response it was just a mistake to say we had them. The order never came so our supplier is delivering directly.

Well today, you know what's coming, another email arrived "Our supplier has informed us that they have changed their delivery schedule for your area and your new delivery date will be the 22/08/2016". No surprises there nor when I went on the site to see the phone shown as in stock and available for collection from them directly.

Enough was enough and I cancelled the order immediately. Now let's see how long it is till they refund me the money. Oh I know they've told me I'll be refunded immediately but going on their track record I'm guessing that will be sometime next year...or after I've sued them.

In all the years I've been buying on line I've never dealt with a company as bad as this.....and before I forget they have the cheek to make you phone a premium rate line so that they can feed you misinformation; don't fall for that but call them on 01773814660 which conveniently for them is nowhere to be found on their site or emails; though if they read this they'll probably disconnect it.

My mate is coming up for renewal, his shortlist is xa, m5, g4, 5c. Which in your opinion is the best phone. He is looking to spend 17 per month on a contract phone.
