Bought this tv and the viewing angle is terrible, is the tv supposed to have a bad viewing angle or is it faulty? AO are saing i cant get a refund because its been taken out of the box and turned on.

Read my reviews from a couple of months ago it may help you get a refund. It took 10 days for them to agree it was faulty. Hisense are now discontinuing this model I reckon for this reason alone!! Never mind all the bad reviews it gets. Good luck!

@RuudBullit, no one's a fool other those people who go out and spend £1000's on a TV which in my opinion are only slightly better.
This discussion was about one particular budget TV which is a very good product it's not about mines better than yours cause yours is cheap and mine cost x amount. If people want to spend 1000's and 1000's on slightly better TV's then let them fill their boots.
Ive had mates round and family and friends and they all said the same , "That pictures far better than my ........... TV".
Spend away fella , as the saying goes, "A fool and his money are soon parted".

i purchased this TV from argos yesterday. ive gone from a 43" plasma and the difference is incredible. i havent played with the settings yet but im sure it can only get better.
games on the ps4 are so smooth, no motion blur or input lag. colours pop out and look great.
sky hd channels look good, but the only down side i have found is that normal channels really dont look good. but like i said i havent played with the settings yet, so hopefully i can do something to make it clearer. has anyone got their settings i could copy please.
all in all im very pleased with this tv for a budget price aswell £529

I have one , I can say they are a brilliant budget TV you cannot go wrong. The viewing angle ? I have a 2 seater on an angle and I can see the picture fine.
If you use say quidco do not use a voucher the voucher or code will cancel the quidco. Weigh up which gives you the biggest discount and just use the one.
The firmware can be updated live through the internet connection. I paid £699 last year but at the time ao.com offered £50 off tv's over £500 (no code needed) and I also got 10% of with quidco so I paid £580. I am over the moon with the TV and the 4k is out of this world.
If you want to pay £300-£400 more then go ahead more fool you

I'm sure this is a great tv, but there are better. Just because you don't want to pay more, or can't afford to pay more for the next step up why does that make anyone who does a fool?

So mine arrived today. Fantastic tv for the money. Quality is superb and visual is amazing. Sound is good too... no problems with normal tv. Haven't watched a film yet but sure it's gonna do the job just fine. Smart features not great but I've got a fire stick so not a problem. I would definitely recommend. AO were decent too. <3

Just ordered... was going to get the Seiki 1080p at £279.99 from Argos but OOS near me. Hopefully this will be better. I'll post what this is like... delivery on Tuesday :sunglasses:
It is rather and potentially typical of the TV industry to twist things to make us believe that we are getting something that we aren't because of too many standards that are also over complicated.

I did get a little further with HDR clarification.
Emailed the CEO of AO to ask about why they do not list this new range as HDR and he put me onto one of the senior managers, who informed me that this was at the request of Hisense themselves because of the peak brightness levels.
He is going to get further clarification from Hisense though and I have asked for more clarification when he has more information.

I don't understand where people are getting the firmware information from. I have never seen anything even slightly officially confirming the firmware is coming. Please correct me if I am wrong.
You initially get the usual type of press this and that button automated system before eventually getting put through to a human.
Tell them what you want to know, they will take your number and the tech team will ring you back within 24 hours.

Same about concern around lack of firmware updates. Been waiting for 9 months now. Still no firmware update. Was promised one each month as it's being shipped the next month. But if never happened. So really blatant lies. Disappointing considering they are trying to make s move in the TV market but this kind of bad service and PR will not help them.

Argos have it on for £529 with 12 months Buy Now, Pay Later if you have a Argos Card and don't pay interest as long as you pay it all off before the 12 months... Good option if you haven't got the spare cash laying around

My only concern with Hisense has been how quickly they drop support of updates. I'm owner of last years model (K321) and been waiting since March (they saidsaidw back in December they would release it in March) the update to support Youtube 4K. No news so far and people don't expect the fw release anymore.
In regards to the TV itself (and I'm asumming this is a step forward) I think it's brilliant. It does a fantastic upscaling even SD channels look good.

It took me 10 days for ao.com to agree I had a faulty tv (this model & make!!). If you read previous reviews on this tv when it was on offer via hotukdeals site you will see my reviews. It may help you get yours sorted quicker!! With ao you have to get Hisesnse to agree you have a faulty model & have a refund identity number before they offer you a refund or another tv to the same value. Good luck!!
