You are mistaking my point, I agree that just about everyone is aware that this is a script, but not many of us read scripts (this was my first one...) and simply said you need to set your expectations based on that, I was even worried it would be close to illegible because of it.
For example a friend was complaining that the characters are a bit shallow for which my answer is that it is a script, there is a lot to the character that an actor can add.
Imagine reading a script for the 7th movie instead of the 7th book, it would be a significantly diminished experience but that doesn't make it a bad movie or story.
It would be very interesting if someone (hopefully JKR) adapts this to a proper book.

I thought it was a new story book ages ago when I first heard about it but saw immediately it was a script book when released.

I don't know, but look at some of the reviews on Amazon, also I already had 2 conversations with disappointed friends which both ended up in me repeatedly arguing that this is a script...

Just to warn people, this is not a full fledged book such as any of the 1-7.
A lot of people are getting disappointed because they don't understand this.
Once you accept this I found the "book" enjoyable to read and I definitely want to see the play.
Also heat from me.

I wonder which part of "script" on the title page people didn't understand?
