Whether the product is mains or battery is irrelevant, voting cold because the product doesn't suit your needs is silly. Hot and cold should be on price surely?

mine - is busted. they told me to keep it (rather than return it) and they did an immediate refund. happy customer considering they treated me fairly.

Mine was 'lost' and isn't being replaced. They'd probably have kept my money too if I hadn't chased them.

I called them and they sent a replacement. Just received mine. Guessing it's faulty. Not particularly loud, treble and bass don't seem to make much of a difference. Plus the bluetooth playback distorts like the DSP is broken. Playback through the AUX is OK but nothing worth making me think this is worth keeping. May try a second unit but i'm tempted to get a refund.

Did yours ever turn up? Mine still says 'order placed' after returning from a week away. Very disappointed. Will call them tomorrow when they open.

Having listened to mine that arrived today, I have been really shocked! £19.99 was a total and complete bargain, room filling sound and I kid you not, better than my Sonos 1! I wish I had bought more for presents! One of the bargains of the year!

Not sure I should gloat (as it was my deal) but i agree, it's a cracking bit of kit for the money.
Mine arrived this morning and I have had both streaming radio and music playing through it and I am very impressed at the quality of sound. Build quality is good too with all controls 'feeling' good to use.
This will get a lot of use!

Got mine this morning and must say seems very good indeed, especially for the money. Goes nice and loud with distorting. Some said the treble and bass controls do not do anything, well mine have some effect more than enough for me all in all very happy. now lets find a cheap one in th brown.
Thanks for alerting us to this. I've ordered one. By chance I saw this speaker in a shop this week and thought it looked great, but was too expensive. It feels really solid and has nice (if you like retro - I do) styling. 25 watts is a lot more than many similar speakers on the market. Excellent for the workshop, kitchen, etc - especially at this price!

Get out of here with your reason and logic. If it doesn't look like a sofa, or have some flaw then one must be made up!

thanks OP. Been looking out for something like this for a while. Decent sound with bluetooth, aux and doesn't break the bank. Mains powered is fine by me.

Any idea how this speaker actually sounds? All reviews and even their own adverts seem to focus on the look rather than the sound quality.

Looks great and a decent price until you find out that it does not have an in built battery and only runs via a mains cable . A major point of Bluetooth is to cut out wires no?
Cold from me unfortunately

Yes, I've bought a couple of things from them back when they did daily deals emails. Always delivered on time and never had a problem with them. If you have a search for them on here, there's been a few deals posted before - the wellies posted by princessyella:
I've ordered the speaker because it looks great (better than the normal oblong black box/pill shape) as well as being a decent power output compared to the usual 2-3w although granted this is mains powered so less 'portable'.
