I'd of thought they'd of changed the way you can share your family plan by now. Its been awhile since they introduced the family share for google music so surely theyve had time for feedback? Id of happily of gone for the higher £14.99 plan to share with family but its such a bad idea letting other family members/people you trust gain access to your card. Their is a lot of people on Android forums who echo this and arent buying in to it just for that reason alone. Google is missing a trick with this.

If anyone's using Apple iOS, you can also share your apps with a similar family feature.

Use Nox Android Emulator for easy Pokemon Go playing in the comfort of home (playing normally on the emulator won't get you banned (eg set location you want using the virtual gps locator before you start the app, and play normally around the area) but quickly switching to locations for good pokemon especially large areas (eg from Sydney to Birmingham etc) will get a softban and then a permaban)

I am not happy going ahead with this of I cannot use my google play credit instead of a credit card...
I deliberatly use prepaid credits so i can control my spending, and accidents cannot happen.

Not going to insert credit card details which can then be (ab)used by other family members. Seems silly there are not stricter controls on this. I am also concerned that another person has stated they could not remove their card details from their account.

Pretty sure an empty pay.com or 3v prepaid card should work with this. Just xfer the balance to wife.

Lots of people are wondering about missing apps that were previously purchased. A few months ago it went around tech news sites that Android developers got a message telling them they can activate sharing for previously purchased apps. However, all newly purchased apps would be shared by default, which the developers would have no say in. So if you are missing old apps, it's the developer's choice

I didn't check to see if answered but yes, it is one of the setup questions.

Thanks, will have a look now. Didn't want to set my kids up with family sharing as they would hammer my debit card!
*update*
Just tried it and only have the debit card option, most likely because I have not got any Play credit...I do have reward credit but that doesn't seem to count.

Its up to the developer to enable the family option for previous apps, Google has been sending messages to developers account recommending them to enable it for old apps. I suspect they want to push it for all new apps. I would say if an app doesn't support it, contact the developer via email or in a review and it's likely they will turn it on for that app. Some developers might do it if enough users bug them for it.

Please note... Family purchased apps are only shared if they are purchased after 2/7/2016.. no good for anyone who wants all purchased apps shared.

Thanks, finally took all the "hacked" minecrafts off all my kids phones and bought genuine Minecraft with opinion rewards credit and shared that with all the kids. Saved about £25 on this!!!

I haven't read all of the comments, but as a registered Google Developer, I got an email yesterday telling me that could now make my apps available to the Family Library. It will take time for developers to do this but I'm sure most will do this but don't expect all. I haven't read Google's policy yet, but they may require all developers to make this mandatory in future.

Doesn't work with Apps accounts...

This is up to the developer, they can enable apps purchased before 2/7/2016 to be included.
In other words email them, if they don't respond leave them a lower star review asking for it....

It's about time Google provided a mechanism to migrate apps accounts to normal Google accounts or treated them the. I've got so many purchased apps as well as 1Tb storage for 2 yrs on mine that I'm not starting again (although I'd have to find a user name that nobody has taken already!)

Oh is that what it meant? I wonder why quoting it again would make it easier to read.

Definitely works with Pockit, it's running on my kids accounts fine.

Second confirmation it works with Pockit. Have to buy the card for £1 (if paid by text message) then load the minimum amount on (£10) before Google recognise it as a payment method.
Was going to buy my daughter the Harry Potter book anyway, so now other members can read it if they so wish, win from me.

Cold from me. I have only purchased music and a few apps. If I cannot share my 30 plus albums with my family, I couldn't give monkeys.

That doesn't seem to be a supported app (those part of the scheme have a small logo on the app's page of a house with a heart in it) so unfortunately it wouldn't work at this time. They reckon more apps will be added retrospectively as the app developers allow it, but of course as it means a drop in their income I guess there will be many that don't allow it!
