I quit working for KK last Saturday.

Assuming you choose a pick your own dozen and pay the 79p for the original glaze dozen the cost works out at 55p each (which isn't bad) and you can't compare to supermarkets as they don't sell the same only Dunkin Donuts do.

I dont agree with the person that said voting cold because these are vile, far from it they are very nice, but they are only marginally better than those in the supermarket bakeries, yet krispy kreme seem to be able to sell them at 10 times the price. Selling a dozen for 79p will still cover all their costs of making them, and still give them over 100% mark up. And I think the same applies to cinema popcorn and some of the big name coffee shops too. Krispy kreme would have to be totally free to get heat from me :-/

But that's still sugar. Table/refined/raw sugar is 50:50 glucose and fructose. HFCS is generally 55:45 fructose and glucose. There is no real reason to avoid one and not the other because sugar is sugar regardless of the source. We should eat all sugar in moderation like with all foods.
