Just a reminder to everyone who took the 3 month trial, that it is due to end soon, so to claim your 3rd book and then cancel, if you do not want to carry on.
I actually really like audible, I might be hooked. I've cancelled for now, so I can finish off the 1 and a half books I still have left, and after that I might re-join at a later date

OP .. "This offer is open from 7th July 00:00 to 7th July 23:59, when you take an Audible 3 month free trial (the “Offer”)."
I hooked up this offer on 12th July 2016! (wayyyyyyyyy AFTER your previously above stated 'Date'?), and was still able to make goooooood on the Audible £10 free Credit Deal via a 1-off Amazon Prime 30 day try-out period regardless?.
So I was still able to cash-up irrespective of the 7th July 2012 date?, so what gives ..... lol.

The 'Download' button had dissappeared from the audible site probably due to the now cancelled account, but the book I had 'bought' on free credit was still there but only playable direct from an audible media player window.
So I installed the trial version of Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder & recorded the whole book (13+ hrs of Elon Musk biography) overnight.
{The wondershare trial version only lets you record 5 tracks, but a continuous recording of the book counted as just 1 track}
I then ran the single 737Mb mp3 file through the NCH Audio file Splitter and turned it into 53 separate mp3s of 15 mins duration.
Files now loaded on my walkman player - off to have a listen :sunglasses:

Yes the best way is to download their audio download manager for the PC or MAC, then head to your audible account and click download (make sure you ticked enhanced audio to get the best quality) once downloaded head to google and look for an app that can convert .aa or .aax files into other formats. Some combine the chapters while others don't.

God do we have to explain it word by word;
1. Yes you can use it on a Prime Trial account, just (I think) not with the same credit card you use on your regular account (maybe you've already been an audible member before using that CC). If you tell me that you deffo haven't had an audible account before then I've no clue, as its worked for me now using a new email address, a new CC and a new phone number (an old one) on a Prime Trial.
2. You DON'T SEE THE CREDIT until you checkout something sold BY AMAZON - easiest way is to tick the Prime delivery option as majority (all?) is by Amazon itself.
It shows up once you get past the address to use screen and to the payment screen.
Spasho
7 Jul 16#261

The £10 credit does not show in your account balance ... it is automatically applied to eligible purchases i.e. purchases from amazon directly. Try putting something into your basket from Amazon and go to checkout. It will automatically deduct £10 from it.

Almost tempted to sign up for 1 month Prime. Might work out for Prime Day, might just make me want to spend on stuff I don't need. Audible doesn't sound too great anyway really and receives much criticism about its pricing structure. Basically 1 audio book per month so you'll end up with 3 audio books that you'll only really ever listen to once.

Ignoring the free £10 credit, Audible really is incredibly overpriced! How on earth can they justify £7.99 per month, when the likes of Netflix are cheaper?!
No wonder Amazon are trying to hook people in - because they certainly won't do so on value alone.

Not disagreeing with you regarding price, but Audible is a slightly different business model to netflix. The books are yours to keep, even after you cancel membership. You are purchasing, not renting.
You cant cancel your netflix and then finish off watching the series that you were half way through, with audible, you can.

That's what this deal is, three books over three months.
Worth it for the free tenner but blimey that's not cost effective. Netflix is a fiver and you can watch as much content as your eyeballs can cope with, yet Audible charge you £8 for one (1, ONE!) book. Wow.

I've just had a right nightmare with them. The offer was showing for me as I've had Prime for 2 or 3 years now. I applied everything correctly for the trial and I even received an email to state that the 90 days trial had been activated.
Anyway, after 15 minutes still no +£10 to my existing Amazon credit. So I logged into Audible (with my Amazon credentials) and it stated I had no active subscriptions on my account. I got on to Audibles live chat where one of there assistants took over control of my screen to view what I was seeing on my account (because they can't accept screenshots). Anyway, after finally believing what I had said to them, they activated the Amazon Prime 90 day trial to my account.
Shortly after I received an email stating..."Thanks for joining Audible as part of our limited time offer to celebrate Prime Day. We have applied a £10 Amazon credit to your account. But still no credit as of yet. I will contact them later. So if anybody is having issues with the credit not showing, it might be worth logging into your Audible account (with your Amazon login) and see what's what.

This site is not what it was. I reckon admin/mods have multiple accounts (I'm pretty damn sure wishihadadonkey does for one) and they manipulate what gets shown in accordance with corporate sponsorship.

This should be hot, its more of a deal than the 1200 'heads up' Prime day post...really strange (but somehow not unexpected as of late). Heat Added though Op.
Confirmed the £10 is in my account when I added an eligible order at checkout. And cancelled recurring charges online in my account area. Just need to wait for a deal now to use it on

I've just used a second bank card (not the one registered to my usual Amazon account) to sign up to a new Amazon account and get the one month's prime membership in order to get this offer.
However the credit is not visible. Tried buying a couple of things and clicking through checkout to see if it appears there, but no. Any idea where I'm going wrong? (Apart from being greedy. Couldn't give two hoots about Amazon, thanks)

Awesome deal, nice one! Any recommendations on books?
If Audible is not for you, here are some terms and conditions and a contact number. IMO it's expensive for just 1 audiobook per month at £7.99, although most audiobooks (if not all) costs more than £7.99, so not too bad if you have to have an audiobook.
3. Trial Offers. Audible may, in its sole discretion, make available free or paid trial offers for a monthly or annual membership plan, the terms of which will be more fully explained on the Audible Service (a "Trial Offer"). You must have a valid payment instrument, such as a credit card or other permitted payment method, on file in your Audible Account in order to initiate a Trial Offer. Audible may request a temporary authorization from the financial institution issuing your credit card or other payment instrument in order to confirm the validity of the credit card or other payment instrument to verify your eligibility to participate in any Trial Offer. Any Credits issued in connection with a Trial Offer or Audible Content purchased with such Credits are issued and provided subject to such verification and may be revoked by Audible in the event that such verification fails. Upon expiration of the trial, you will automatically be joined into the related membership plan and Audible will charge your default payment instrument the relevant monthly fee or annual fee, as applicable. If your default payment method is declined for any reason, Audible may charge any payment instrument on file with your Amazon account. YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP PRIOR TO THE END OF THE TRIAL OFFER TO AVOID CHARGES. Trial Offers are limited to one per household.
Customer Care may be contacted 7 days a week, 24 hours a day at Available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day by phone: 0800 496 2455 (UK Free Phone) or + 44 (0) 203 356 6218 (International). Or you can email: [email protected], at any time

I actually really like audible, I might be hooked. I've cancelled for now, so I can finish off the 1 and a half books I still have left, and after that I might re-join at a later date

I think I dropped the ball on that one?, hehehehe.
There's always next year I guess?. :-(
Lol. :-)
I only wished this was around last cycle, eg. last year Black Friday Weekend, etc?, I could have cleaned up a wee little, huh? (here's hoping ..... ) hmmmmmmmm, lol.
I hooked up this offer on 12th July 2016! (wayyyyyyyyy AFTER your previously above stated 'Date'?), and was still able to make goooooood on the Audible £10 free Credit Deal via a 1-off Amazon Prime 30 day try-out period regardless?.
So I was still able to cash-up irrespective of the 7th July 2012 date?, so what gives ..... lol.
Thanks for trying to help anyway Nobby, as I'm sure someone else will find the reposting useful.

Just ordered £20.78 worth of Goods for £5.78.
Now how do I cancel my Audible Subscription lol?
I definitely had the free credit when I signed up but am no longer a prime member and can not see the voucher anymore
So I installed the trial version of Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder & recorded the whole book (13+ hrs of Elon Musk biography) overnight.
{The wondershare trial version only lets you record 5 tracks, but a continuous recording of the book counted as just 1 track}
I then ran the single 737Mb mp3 file through the NCH Audio file Splitter and turned it into 53 separate mp3s of 15 mins duration.
Files now loaded on my walkman player - off to have a listen :sunglasses:
is it stackable with the student discount?
no gift voucher emailed. who do I contact?
been talking to Amazon and customer service is useless.
But I'm assuming that because it's not too long ago GONE 12 Mid-Night?, then .....
Let's just say come proper Morning (say 6am - 8am going or so?), I'll be doubtful that this'll still be speaking the same story, etc?, lol. :-)
Although saying that there was a leaked episode of game of thrones a few weeks ago that someone captured from HBO Go just by using the windows 10 desktop record feature.
Got the email confirming £10 credit almost instantly
Thanks OP
Now what to actually listen to....
All1
A bit of a faff but worth it for the credit - thanks OP!
I added a different Visa card, and was able to activate this 3 month Audible trial using that.
Signed up
There are apps like Calibre that do that for Kindle books but I'm not sure about audible.
Getting this message , although i have had a prime trial membership for the last week ?
Any reason?
just made a new account just now specifically for this, and when I try to start the offer it says "The Audible free trial offer is only available to new members."
Any help?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01GDRC35S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_NGQFxb4PFDD4K
Which ones?
I found The Oedipus Plays as free books but can't find anything else.
So.. £10 items don't seem to work.
Thanks OP
How to check whether the amount is credited to my Amazon account?
Thanks OP!
Img
Voucher received, voucher spent, account cancelled.
Cheers OP.
2nd new account of the day later AND using a new CC and it worked!
Now what to use it on!
Thanks OP!
I did... thought I'd be cheeky and choose a card they CAN'T take payment from.
Backfired, no VALID card, no £10 voucher...

Note when I went through the above it was giving me 1 extra free credit for use with audible
Double Bonus!
No wonder Amazon are trying to hook people in - because they certainly won't do so on value alone.
Thanks
items sold by amazon only
My sign-up was successfully and also got the confirmation email . However cannot see £10 Amazon credit in my account. How can I confirm this?
Thanks
Heat added!
But now need to wait for Primeday as want rocket league.
Still not convinced on the idea of spending £100 a year for 12 audio books, if that's your thing I won't quibble, but mine will be cancelled before I get charged
Contact puts you through to Audible support who say they can issue the 90 trial as I've never had one, but need to contact Amazon for the voucher.
Amazon say you have to contact Audible.
Muppets.
The £10 credit only applies to items sold by Amazon at the website http://www.amazon.co.uk. The offer does not apply to purchases made from Amazon's Warehouse Deals or from third-party sellers on Amazon Marketplace.
will come in handy for prime day.
To cancel Audible membership just got to "Manage Audible Membership" in the Amazon Account settings and click "Cancel my membership"
Sweet im in lol
same as me - cant get it to work
Now waiting for prime day
Went into audible and deleted card details, then went back to the amazon link above, added card back on and it accepted it.
Quickest tenner you'll ever make!
Heat added.
The credit does not show on your account, it shows up at the checkout when you add an eligible item to your basket.
Unfortunately it only works with certain media players - & NOT many 'standalone' media players like my walkman NWZ A826K.
I emailed amazon to see how to download a suitable version for it, only to be told to buy one of their fire tablets instead :disappointed:

You cant cancel your netflix and then finish off watching the series that you were half way through, with audible, you can.
Nope, they're not a rental.
Its been answered in previous posts, No
That's what this deal is, three books over three months.
Worth it for the free tenner but blimey that's not cost effective. Netflix is a fiver and you can watch as much content as your eyeballs can cope with, yet Audible charge you £8 for one (1, ONE!) book. Wow.
Signed up and activated straight away, will put this towards Doom.

We hope that you'll enjoy the Audible experience, and this special thank you from us! This promotion is subject to terms and conditions, which can be viewed in full here."
