The year is 1989. You are a man named Henry who has retreated from your messy life to work as a fire lookout in the Wyoming wilderness. Perched high atop a mountain, it’s your job to look for smoke and keep the wilderness safe. An especially hot, dry summer has everyone on edge. Your supervisor, a woman named Delilah, is available to you at all times over a small, handheld radio—your only contact with the world you've left behind. But when something strange draws you out of your lookout tower and into the world, you’ll explore a wild and unknown environment, facing questions and making choices that can build or destroy the only meaningful relationship you have.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game, I can see why some didn't like the ending but it was a journey worth experiencing.

Still using this theme, one of the best on PS4.
It's very relaxing.

Was VERY close to getting this for my PS4 on initial release but read a lot on bugs and performance hits. Still the case or 'fixed' now do we know?

The bugs were patched out shortly after release. I played it on day of release and didn't really have an issue anyway.
Well worth a look, IMO. It's only 5-6 hours long, and doesn't really have much replay value, but it's an engaging story and the scenery is absolutely lovely.

What this guy said. Played on release and while there was a noticeable stutter when the auto save kicked in, it hardly rendered the game "unplayable". The internet making a mountain out of a molehill again. Apparently resolved now, regardless.
And yeah, it's more of an experience than a game. Took me about 5-6 hrs, too. Well worth it at this price (comparable to a cinema ticket).

i bought the game full price for steam was somewhat dissapointed as there's no real replay value plus i completed the game in 2 and a half hours without any walkthrough or rushing through the storyline, some people on steam completed it in under 2 hours and got refund, i really wish they would bring out dlc or something more like open exploration without storyline or something but they have no plans to and have announced they won't as they will be soon working on a new game.

This is a terrific game - I absolutely loved it. There's not much replay value as TallerPaul said, but its worth the money even for the short experience it gives you.

This is well worth buying. It's my favourite game of the year so far. It's short but very memorable and you can easily get 5+ hours out of it if you don't rush, and if you do rush you'll miss lots of great scenes and details.

Exactly my thoughts. Definitely my favourite game of the year. People say they were let down by the ending, but to end it the way they did just feels real - not everything has to have a blockbuster ending. As a mid 30's gamer, I can highly recommend this. I paid full price and loved it.

Thought it was an excellent game! Quite a deep journey that's different from the normal games you see around. But then again, I love story-driven 'experience' type games. Well worth the price, I think

Just a note to add - my game did crash half way and I accidentally saved it. Had to restart the game from the beginning which was highly frustrating! But thankfully as the game is fairly short (3 hours-ish) it wasn't too much of a hassle.

Only 20% off, this has been out for a long time. Been in sale twice (last time was also a measly 20%). Needs to be at least 40-50% to deserve heat.

Hmmm.... This is a difficult title to recommend. On one hand, I thoroughly enjoyed the premise and what there story seemed to set up early on.
But then it all concludes in 3-4 hours and turns out to be incredibly anti-climactic (based on the story threads that were established early on, at least)
I'd genuinely only recommend purchasing once it hits the £5 mark

I played it twice, once being faithful to my wife and once not. A slightly different experience each time.
