Just picked one of these up from our local Aldi. States 1 year warranty on the box but 3 years on the website.. Not sure you can go wrong for the price, certainly does the trick for me!

bought a sovereign 18v cordless trimmer for £23.29 and it works really well... if you don't want a cord and have a small hedge or shrubs could be for you. Homebase.
