Just got off the phone to EE about half an hour ago, went straight to retentions, said I wanted to upgrade my tariff but said the best I could see them do online is 8gb @ £20, but O2 is doing 10gb for £18 and BT are doing 15gb for £20 but they said BT would do it for £16 as I'm a broadband customer and the EE guy said he'd match that no problem, will start tomorrow (my contract rolls over on the 21st anyway). Great service, the whole thing took 8mins to do (and at least 1min of that was me going through the automated key presses at the start, lol)
He did say the email might say I'll be paying £27 but assures me that's just a fault on their email system.

18 Jul 16#74
Possibly just for existing customers. Fortunately my renewal/upgrade was due. Called 150 from my phone and chose the option "thinking of leaving" or something like that. Initially was trying to get the deal at the top of the page which they couldn't do (with the voucher). But when I mentioned the BT deal it (the same as the BT deal) was offered straight away.
Might still be worth asking as a new customer if they have a price match policy with BT and saying there is a deal online for 15GB at £15.99.

So I rang up EE to get my PAC and leave for this 8Gb +£80 voucher deal and ended up renewing on a 18Gb contract for £15.99. Bargainess and finally someone that wants to keep people rather than forcing us to hop around for the best deal!

Ended up staying with EE as they called me back the next day (after giving me the PAC) offering £15.99 for unlimited text and minutes on a 12 month contract with 15(!)GB of data! Was able to cancel this hotukdeal before they had issued the sim card. Considered it worthwhile in the end :-)

Thanks very much for the detailed response sh1no8i and the link. I gave EE a call and it is as I suspected. I'm not able to transfer my ee number across to this third party ee. This is my first EE contract and I moved from giffgaff (O2) so I'm not too sure tbh.
....Suggests that this is only required if you are taking out an EE contract through a 3rd party. So depending on your circumstance it may be your only option unfortunately.
I'm not sure why it has to be done this way. The processes AFAIK normally involves the porting team of your new network liaising with the originating networks porting team to release all of the routing files for your number. If you're already on EE, in theory this should be even easier
Might be worth calling EE and clarifying the process

Best going for data allowance than speed imho, I'm on BT mobile paying £16p/m and I've not opted to pay the extra for full speed as I don't really need it, HD streaming is doable on around 5mb/s upwards. My speed is usually anything between 8-30mb/s. I moved from EE months ago, the only time I got 60mb download was sat in McDonalds about 10 metres away from the EE mast so with mobile internet it really doesn't matter. You should always check mast locations first anyway before signing up to a network, both at home and your workplace, the best network at both locations being the winner! :smirk:

8 Jul 16#52
Sorry comparing BT 4G to EE Double Speed 4G is not right. I just got the BT deal to see the difference and it is quite literally half the bandwidth (for once the marketing is right!).
If you want the same speed on BT then you have to pay £4 a month extra so that makes this deal cheaper, but for less data. So depends what you want more

A load of us went for a very similar deal to this about this time last year. I know this as my year is up very beginning of August.
Keep all order info etc from Orange.
Then 3 months later the referral company should contact you.
We had not heard anything after 3 months and a few days so we started emailing an address that we had found through MSE. Once a few of us had done that they seemed to get the message and fired out the Amazon gift certificates.
I can't help you with the email address we had at the time as I don't have the emails etc anymore but it does work and maybe they would have contacted us all without us bothering them but we will never know.

Hi,
I have two lines with ee. I purchased both lines last year with the iPhone 5c deal. I was on the regular plan of Unltd min & txt with 2gb data.
One of plans I upgraded to £20 which I get same allowances but a 20gb data boost.
& the other line which I upgraded just recently I was offered £9.99 for Unltd min & txt 10gb 4g data. Free eu roaming.
Free unlimited mms
Free 5 hours of 08 calls
Free London Underground wifi
Free iPhone visual voicemail
Free calling abroad uk add on. ( not free really but super cheap prices e.g India call 5 min 30plus seconds was 50p
All for £9.99
Try not talking to a female, it does help as they are really assy nowadays.
I spoke to a bloke and he really did go out of his way for me. Erm....
So yh thats my plan and I did ask that it's not because I have two lines with you and they said no. He just said some people don't ,ins being generous where as some are just assy and don't offer anyone a decent deal due to the fact that they are simply lazy.
The guy I spoke to is called Gavin Ferguson. Hope this helps someone. He is on the re tension team

How did you manage to get a credit card if she's not even resident in the UK? That sounds very errr and no offence here, dodgy. Banks do not issue first time credit cards to people who have never lived in the UK. I couldn't apply for an American credit card.

you are comparing apples and oranges maybe? Are you talking about getting a better deal via retentions team? If so it is not relevant to this deal. This deal is not for people who are already on EE.
Also if you take the 90 quid cashback into consideration then this deal works out to be 12.49 quid a month - possibly better than the 16 quid you are paying [for 15gb]

Hi there,
Thanks for your email.
Sorry about the delay on getting back to you – I have been in touch with EE in regards to your voucher.
It has come to our attention that your transaction was made through Quidco – It is stated on the terms and conditions of the offer that customers can only claim one reward. In this case, the cashback or the voucher.
In this circumstances we are unable to process a voucher, as your account has already been given/will be given a reward.
Hope this makes sense and let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

I'm thinking the £5 off addon needs to be a bit bigger..?
Or does the 'Plan' section not entirely match what you get charged?
Good deal any way.
Does topcashback work?
Might still be worth asking as a new customer if they have a price match policy with BT and saying there is a deal online for 15GB at £15.99.
(absolutely wasn't lying as I saw it on here!!!!!). It must be a genuine deal somewhere as the advisor offered it straight away. It must show up on their system so they can price match.
Thanks guys. My renewal/upgrade was due and I was being offered the thread deal without voucher. Said I could get the BT deal and was immediately offered the 15GB deal for £16. Very pleased as I don't have any hassle of porting numbers or even changing sim cards.
Anyone else in a similar situation, you need to go to retentions and ask them to price match BT to get the 15GB deal.
However a quick read here:
https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/EE-Mobile-Network/transfer-number-EE-to-EE/td-p/311924
....Suggests that this is only required if you are taking out an EE contract through a 3rd party.
If you want the same speed on BT then you have to pay £4 a month extra so that makes this deal cheaper, but for less data. So depends what you want more
Taken from email from EE: "Amazon voucher queries please send to : [email protected]"
Hope this helps
But cheers for the info regarding the offer with Tesco direct Panasonic Solo microwave.
We purchased one
How do I claim or receive Amazon voucher? I purschased via EE website.
Thank you

Sounds good: is that a current offer, on 4G? If yes, could you please post a link + any extra info' you have.
Thanks
Keep all order info etc from Orange.
Then 3 months later the referral company should contact you.
We had not heard anything after 3 months and a few days so we started emailing an address that we had found through MSE. Once a few of us had done that they seemed to get the message and fired out the Amazon gift certificates.
I can't help you with the email address we had at the time as I don't have the emails etc anymore but it does work and maybe they would have contacted us all without us bothering them but we will never know.
Is my only way of keeping my number to convert to PAYG take out a new contract then port my number back in?
the reason i ask is because i have had countless problems with similar deals in the past to redeem such vouchers.
i spoke with EE and they said they have nothing to do with the amazon vouchers and I should discuss this with the third party website directly ( in this case I guess hukd?)
thanks
Edit: Looks like it's tracked on the...
SIMO 12 Month £25.99+ (£73.50)
And not...
8GB, Unlimited text & mins Sim Only Deal for only £12.49 a month after cashback! (£94.50)
Claim lodged with TCB!!!!
Do EE include EU data? Or any changes since Brexit?
I pre planned for this, got her a bank account/CC over a year ago. Had no issues signing up online, went through quite easily with confirmation. Though I was a little worried that it wouldnt, worst case I could have just gotten it.
I have been with EE for ages (via TPO)- no complains; now leaving TPO as they are changing their plans; so going to take up this deal (not the amazon deal .. but the one through TCB as it gives back in cash)
Also if you take the 90 quid cashback into consideration then this deal works out to be 12.49 quid a month - possibly better than the 16 quid you are paying [for 15gb]
edit:damn you cookies...the cart is terrible doesnt even look as though there are multiple items in the cart if its the same thing...

Hi there,
Thanks for your email.
Thanks,
Carolina
