No catch, you do not have to be an Excisting EE customer or take out any other contracts, simply is just £10 a month with free tablet. (Tablet usually £99.99)
EE 10gb data every month.
24 Month Contract.
Free EE Jay Tablet.
Excisting EE customers get 10% discount so £9.90
This was from the Lowestoft EE store, it's not online, manager said there are a few other EE shops doing the offer but it is not national.
Comes as a 3 size multi sim. I put mine in my iPad and gave the tablet to my daughter, to be fair tho the tablet is really good.

If the tablet had 2GB ram I'd be all over it. Even 1.5GB would just about do. With 1GB, I think your going to see a lot of apps force closing in the background. You get what you pay for I guess.

Which is the grand sum of zero....the £10 is for the data so I think the added bonus of the tablets really can't be grumbled at.

I'm not disagreeing with you Mandz27. Its just that uninformed people will go out and think its a great deal. The same people will be the ones complaining about how slow the tablet is and how crap Android is. I'd like to see the likes of EE only release products that are up to the job.
Winklexx
25 Jul 161#13
It's not slow or crap. It's not as fast as my iPad Air 2 but it's not £580 either ...
They were selling loads of these just for the sim, you can't get 10gb data for £10 a month at many other places?
Boystuff163

The receipt says £11 per month less 10% is £9.90, so basically a tenner after discount not before.
Winklexx
25 Jul 16#15
Yeah they have messed it up in store, massive sign in window saying £10 a month. they have put £11 minus £1 PCM discount, minus 10% = £9.90. Clearly should be £9 you are correct.

This will only be available in franchise stores. None of the city centre stores are franchise. To put in to context none of the birmingham city centre stores are but kings heath and Northfield stores are. This will be a deal that specific store group is offering but if you have a local franchise store they might match it

probably the standard calls and texts on EExtra plans and possibly the other the standard 100MB a month roaming data. ie not for data use abroad, 100MB might work in a old blackberry but a modern smartphone? Turn on data to sync email and apps background data will start swiping that 100MB down.
might have to see if the scunthorpe store does this!

I'm intertested in this also, as it could be the case that the Tablet won't even run Pokemon Go, unless someone else can confirm. Pretty sure this EE tablet only has 1GB of RAM, and Pokemon Go claims to need 2GB - though this is debateable, as it runs fine on my old Galaxy S3 which only has 1GB RAM.
I know Pokemon Go won't run on my Galaxy Tab 3, annoyingly.

1/ is the SIM card able to be used in another device such as my iPhone?
2/ anybody know if the bishop Auckland/durham store does this

They have messed it up, it's £10 a month if your not a EE customer. Not sure why mine says £11 on receipt as my friend on 02 only paid £10. I'm not arguing over 90p for 10gb data tho.
Winklexx
25 Jul 16#51
And to answer other questions the sim comes in the 3 size in 1. I bought it just to use the data in my iPad as a 10gb EE PAYG is allot more then £10 a month, so yes it works in my iPad and iPhone.

it's £11 if you aren't an existing ee customer, with £99.99 up front, but existing customers get the 10% off and the up front discounted to free, there was a £10 plan which is an old plan, the mistake they have made is advertising it at exactly £10, cos it isn't

The tablet looks very much like iPad mini. Aluminium back and curved edges increase the felling. It is quite solid and light. In terms of performance it is a budget tablet and it performs like one. Web browsing and emails are OK, YouTube, Netflix, etc are OK. Don't expect any multitasking out of it and you will be fine. Unless you atr gamer and look for more advanced games to run on it you will be disappointed. Good tablet if you manage your expectation. It is a budget tablet after all.
