Dyson DC50 - needs no explanation - a great vacuum cleaner. If your looking at this then you know how good it is.
This is direct from Dyson with FREE P&P - all in for £148. With a 2 year warranty.
Cheapest new I can see is £200 from Curry's - which will of course include the standard 5 year warranty.
Great deal - but hinges on the individual whether the extra 3 year warranty is worth the extra £52

This is a Dyson, not a Hoover.

These things don't have a scratch on them, exactly the same packaging as the retail versions and actually come with more attachments as well.

I agree dyson refurbished is like new
but £148 refurbished or £150 new its a no brainer
£100-£110 refurbished is more like it

Should be made clear this particular model is tiny and is mainly recommended for flats and small homes. It's not bad but we only use it upstairs. The bin does fill up quick as it's about half the size compared to the bin on most other dysons and the hose is not really any good for doing the staircase with. A newer model called the small ball has been released with some improvements including a longer hose, longer power cable and a metal handle instead of the plastic one but is twice the price at £300. Price on this isn't bad but co-op electrical were doing them for £160 last month and came with dyson's 5 year warranty. DC40 is much better for those who are using one vacuam for the whole house.

I am in a live argument with Currys on a return for one of these; it is almost impossible to use on carpet. This refurb sale is clearly a result of many unsatisfied customer returns. Caveat emptor

I bought a refurbished via Groupon a few months back (obviously not directly from Dyson)...but was in immaculate condition and was only £90 + postage.
£148 for a 2nd hand one when the new ones can be picked up for £150 doesn't seem like a great deal to me....

I agree with the comments above. Ours came as new, but this is a very small vacuum and needs emptying often and we have a small house with very little carpet. great vacuum but most would need a bigger one.

Do you find the handle a bit unstable/wobbly when pulled up? i always feel like it's going to snap. Tried out the new version in tesco and the metal handle definatley improves the stability of it when pushing it around.

Ud rather pay another £30 to get a brand new one

it doesn't feel as sturdy as some other dyson I've tried but then it's so small when the handle pushes down I'm not surprised it feels a bit unstable. I don't think the ball helps that either

New provides 5 year warranty and less than £185 in Argos. Why is this hot?

Contributions need not involve posting deals. Better deals can be pointed out within a thread.
You comment offers nothing to the debate.
You failed to answer why it is a good deal when a new product has 5 years warranty, compared to 2 years for a second hand product.

If no one posted any deals there would be nothing for people like you to comment on! Your presence on HUKD is of very low value.
Deals are relative. It's £40/50 cheaper. If to one person that saving represents value for 3 years less warranty then so be it - if not then thats fine. It's increased by another 100 degrees since your comment so it cant be that bad!

If nobody responded to a posted deal to inform of alternatives or point out a poor deal, people would be duped by an over jealous posting which is of low value as this is, in my opinion. Sorry, others are entitled to their opinion.
Another person pointed out a brand new Dyson is available at £150 (far more valuable than the original post). Your deal represents a massive £2 saving and 3 years less warranty coupled with a second hand product. What a superb deal of great value you posted. Bravo, well done! I wonder if the next deal you post will save 1p.
I made my point without a single insult.
