Ordered 2 will see if they work, they are 118's. tried an old bulb from a halogen and it was the same size.

Some photographers prefer continuous lighting as it allows you to assess shadows and the nature of the lighting and adjust accordingly. Of course it's possible with digital to take a shot, do some chimping, adjust and repeat til you get it perfect, but continuous lighting avoids that. Continuous lighting is also invaluable for videographers. There are some rather expensive continuous lights out there used in photography such as the Rotolight Neo.

If I remember right from when I changed the bulbs on this light they were 114mm.. not sure a 118mm would fit it

These are continuous lights. Strobes would do better job. There are good options on eBay. I use cheap external flashes with remote wizard. They are portable and does better job in comparison to continuous lights.
I can highly recommend the rechargeable led work light as above small compact and very bright comes with 12/240volt chargers

Why are you all touching it? They will come with a handle that you screw to the top if you need to adjust.
ceiling light is probably hot but you don't touch that.
got the rechargeable last time, love it, great bit of kit. It says that it doesn't (or you shouldn't, forgot now) use it with the mains in, it work's but only ever done it for a few seconds as i didn't know if it was on or off. Like the double

We have the six quid one. Good value but as mentioned they get very, very hot.

Threw mine out. To hot. Burning hot. Bulbs blow to easy. Burns to much electric. Should of kept it as you can replace bulbs with led now although can't say if they are very bright? 400 lumen headtorch is the way to go for me although some better work lights coming on the market now I see.
