great game and great price

I absolutely hated this game and I mean hated it on the PS4. If you can play it on PC then avoid the PS4 version. Just my opinion.

I managed to Platinum this yesterday and absolutely love it. Probably the best FPS released in the last five years IMO. Hear from me.

The complete lack of finesse in the controls, also graphically it's not as good as the PC version. I got past The Foundry level then traded the game in for The Last of Us Remastered.

Tell me, including the cost of windows, can you build a PC for the same price as a PS4 and it'll be powerful enough to run Doom at these PS4 busting graphics you've mentioned?

I played the beta and loved the fast pace. If it drops below £20 for ps4 i might have to bite!

95 hours in (PC) so far and loving it - and that's without any on-line matches. I have about 3 in-level challenges left, 2 runes to upgrade and Mastery to achieve on the RL then I'm done with SP. All secrets found but annoyed that I have suffered the 'Lazarus Labs' bug (that means it doesn't show all challenges met, even though they are). The more I play it, the better I'm getting - once you get the hang of the fights (just keep running / glory killing) it almost becomes like a parkour game. Best money you'll spend on a game so far this year.

Loved and still play the original but this just seems absolutely manic. Not sure I could cope with the fast pace hmmm

I hate using a controller.

I can agree in part, having just started this on PS4 after completing Uncharted 4, the textures are very muddy with some texture 'pop in' upon fresh load.... HOWEVER, the controls are close to perfect, changed the FOV to 95, put the gun to the centre, changed the crosshair to simple and turned off the 'glow' of the monsters when they're ready for glory kills and it's a h3ll of a lot of fun so far (no pun intended) and the fact it's running at 60fps or very close on PS4, I'm not even going to complain about the aforementioned muddy textures.

Console controls have never been as good as keyboard and mouse, fact. But these are tight! Maybe you're just not very good at it?

Edit: I am using a Wired Hori PS4 controller.

So, why do you even have a PS4?

Anyway, why not buy a titan one, and use a keyboard and mouse instead! :smiley:

I got Doom for £10 when I bought the console in a bundle deal. You assumed I bought it to play Doom, you're wrong, I got it to play Uncharted 4 as I bought the Uncharted 4 limited edition console and I also wanted to play The Last of Us.

Yes, once you have completed the whole game you can replay each level as many times as you want to get all collectibles/secrets and challenges
