They're off their nut! Now £18.99 for a pizza
They should wipe the slate clean and get back to realistic prices with occasional discount codes.

we haven't paid full price for a pizza from domino's for years, with or without valid codes floating around. they make a profit even when people use 50% off codes because their prices are inflated. they don't actually expect idiots to pay 50 quid for 2 pizzas, they just appreciate it when they do...haha

There are plenty of them and they say its all about the taste. If a pizza costs £50 they may buy. They simply do not set a limit. Eg over £x it's not worth it. They will pay what ever the cost.
Especially for a horrible cardboard tasting round lump of goo. Unlike a real fresh italian pizza. I wouldn't pay £5 for one yet alone £19

The profit margin must be massive, and I bet the proportion of the costs that is the ingredients themselves is absolutely tiny.

Being off-cheese for many years, I hadn't looked at a pizza menu for some time. When I saw the £18.99 price here, I didn't believe it! Now, looking at the overall menu prices, I'm absolutely astounded. I would even shrink for paying those prices for an eat-in meal. Some folks have more money than sense.
Even at BOGOF they're expensive when Morrisons can do 2x10" for £4. (Yes, I know you have to cook them yourself, but.....)

Strong words your reporting this. Are you absolutely sure you got your facts right before reporting this to the right authorities? It could turn back to you. If your son know better, why didn't he reported this himself?
Not trying to stand only on Dominos side but there's a diff between chilled & frozen stock on how would you use them so be clear on that. I once bought several reduced price chilled chicken wings with very short use by date but decided to freeze them to use later. Does that mean I have to throw it away once the moment I defrosted it? I didn't get food poisoning as I made sure it was cooked thoroughly.
Have you seen how much food is wasted due to folks not understanding the diff between best before & use by date & folks not using common sense to know if food has gone off?
Regards to allowing school kids to work illegal hours then that's a no no. This is more of a management issue & needs to be reported to Dominos HQ & local authority.

£18.99 a pizza but surely they don't expect many people to pay full price. It's clever as you'll get some people who've had too many beers not care how much it costs and it adds massively to revenue.

People pay a lot for delivery.
Drivers get paid the minimum wage and a set amount for each delivery.
So if it takes half an hour for a driver to do a delivery and get back to the shop then that's probably £4.50 just to pay the driver.
And although driver numbers are kept to a minimum pizza buyers are also paying for drivers to wait around at the shop during quiet periods. That probably pushes delivery costs up to £5 or more.
Also the shops are open all day, and there are lots of quiet periods before and after the evening rush. Customers pay for these staff to do next to nothing in these quiet periods, and there is no way round that.

I think £8 - £10 is a fair price for a large pizza, you guys cannot seriously compare supermarket pizzas to domino's / Pizza Hut etc, & the cheaper Asian pizza places don't have pork products , so you can't buy real pepperoni / sausage toppings, & they also ( majority ) use cheese substitute to save on costs & that's why they're considerably cheaper! Dare I say it but .. Even supermarket pizza's are better as they use real cheddar & pork!

cold would much rather go to the supermarket pizza counter and get one made by the person there who personalise them for you and they usually work out at around £2.50 each or something ridiculous that any pizza is £18.99. you can go to the award winning Italian restaurant round the corner from me and get a pizza for £12 and eat in a fancy restaurant what a joke dominos are

Surprised Asda haven't put them out of business yet with their pizza prices. Only a matter of time hopefully.
Frozen pizzas are pretty great these days and Asda's freshly cooked onsite ones are excellent, for a fraction of this nonsense pricing.

I've bought all kinds (and price) of supermarket pizzas over the years and legitimately think Iceland's are the best tasting. The likes of their hotdog stuffed crust ones for a couple of quid are ludicrous value and taste amazing.
Time and a place for all kinds, but there's no need for good pizza to be ridiculously priced.

Don't really have a price. If I can afford it, I'll have it. I'd have to see what a £50 pizza tastes like if there ever was one. I'm sure there will be a point of diminishing returns, like my vice which is Whiskey. A £100 bottle will often be as good as a £200 bottle, assuming its bought for taste and not rarity.

Sorry guys, you all need to calm down a bit, but its marketing I think. They are made to look expensive but there is always these deals available at my local dominoes, this makes people think they are getting a reduced price and a bargain but in fact the price of the pizza is always half the amount they state on the website. They always work out at around £9 each for a large pizza. I've been into my local turkish kebab shops for pizzas and they all seem to charge around £9 for large too. You never have to pay "£18.99" for a pizza from dominoes....
