Visited a ikea store for the first time a few weeks ago. I felt sick and like I was in a maze. No one was speaking English and were taking breaks on beds.

Just check how many children have been hurt or killed due to ikea poor quality. No other wardrobe hurts or topples down like Ikea. Even the wall fixing breaks down.

Actually ALL furniture from ALL retailer has the potential to kill or seriously injure. Ikea furniture is designed to be fixed to the wall.

These may be cheap, but are real murder weapon for small children. Unless fixed to the wall they tend to topple down and kill or injure small children. All Ikea wardrobes can kill or seriously injure children, and not recommended around children due to their poor quality.

Saw this deal, checked stock at Birmingham (Wednesbury) branch, showed 25. Picked it up this afternoon and was up with clothes in within an hour. The handles are very very cheap plastic ones, but seem sturdy enough once fitted. I secured to a brick wall with raw plugs and screws (not supplied). Doors were easily hung and adjusted. Overall for £70 it seems well worth it for the size.

I'd love to know what your kitchen cupboards are made out of, because unless your kitchen is bespoke it's more likely than not to be made from this "cheap particleboard/foil crap.". :man:

I bought the argos pine one a few years ago. Terrible weak pine. it's soft and easily breakable. I wouldn't recommend it really. Get something stronger

Completely agree. Bought one just over a year ago. No defects or problems so far. A solid weight.
Be warned - you will need an area 50% larger than the size of the item laid flat to assemble it in as you need to get right round it to secure the back in place, fairly late on in the process. Or some kind of bank robbery ceiling suspension device to hang on.

I've owned one of these for nearly 10 years now (paid £60).
It's big for the money but is showing its age, moving it is a pain as the pieces of wood at the bottom break easily when moving it.

I have this wardrobe and am very happy with it after a few modifications - the shelving compartment is easily converted in to wardrobe space by installing two sockets and a length of rail, and leaves space for one shelf at the bottom. If you have uneven flooring it can be a bit of a pain to get the doors to line up properly or be flush - I used some metal plates to raise one side until it was level, then installed some magnetic catches so the doors sat flush (none are supplied). It's dead easy to assemble too.

Was thinking about New Scandinavia 3 Door 3 Drawer Wardrobe - Pine £99.99 + delivery or New Scandinavia 3 Door Mirrored Wardrobe - Pine £101.99 + delivery for extra £2 from Argos since it's solid pine wood & looks much more nicer & natural. Could whitewash it if you want to. None of this cheap particleboard/foil crap.
