10,400mAh Dual USB PowerBank Charger with two outputs and assorted plugs for most devices. Remember that sub £5.00 pre VAT items invoke a £2.50 handling charge with CPC so I added a 75p pack of AA batteries to bump it over the £5.00.
I thought this a good price for nearly 11,000mAh of portable power. Handy for my 'phone, e-cig, tablet etc.

Note, this charges by mini-USB, not micro-USB.

I have this but it charges with a mini usb connector - not the usual micro type-c usb that is used on a standard phone charger. This is really stupid and annoying!! It comes with adaptors for the charging cable but easy to lose!

Got few of these. They do work, but does not hold charge for long if you have no use for a week or so. Its ok for planned long travel.
One of these i held connected to my car USB adapter in case i need fully charged and one of transistors fried, you could litteraly see smoke coming off.
Its ok, but its bulky and i would rather have less mHa but better quality one for more.

Was it this precise unit? I trust you returned it under guarantee... if you did, did the second one exhibit the same poor / dangerous behaviour you describe above?
Personally i've never had a problem with CPC Farnell's products and have found their customer service exemplary. I've yet to receive this charger, a gift for my partner, but if it turns out as dire as you say i'll report back.
I'd be surprised if CPC are selling something that has a propensity to self combust. What happened when you returned the blackened husk?

Micro A is the standard right now and moving to type c which is reversible. Well worth highlighting if this is mini and I can't imagine too many people will want to carry around a unique cable just for this. Also, if it is indeed that old will the cells inside it still be any good and what current does it output? 500ma, 1A?

For a fiver I doubt he would have went to the effort of sending back, I wouldn't I would have sent an email and left it at that regardless of the result, the poster might have been different but I doubt it.

We have a couple of these, same rating and styling but PowerSlab branded. Must admit I've had no problems with them, they're reassuringly heavy and both ours retain their charge well - they also need to be switched on manually, I've found the auto power-on banks drain fast when not used.
The only criticism I have with them is the blue status LED's are ridiculously bright, when in use or on charge they're bright enough to illuminate an entire room.

Actually i bought from ebay, same model. Just texted them, they apologized and send me new one and ask old one to recycle. I bet it did happen because of the changing currient in the car... butbonce i got in my car and saw smoke i was quite angry... But ech...who cares, we all have insurance, we should use their kind service, lol.
You get what you pay for.. its cheap chinese stuff. But i have no doubt, cpc would replace it if anything happen. Their customer service is great.

Good find - this seems like a great price, with the line "Multiple charging tips cover most devices" it suggests it comes with a cable - can anyone confirm?
Might need to order a few! (theres only 216 left!)

Yes this has a mini usb for charging which is a pain. It comes with a cable and adapters but these are very low quality. Fortunately I have a robust old mini usb lead left over from a reduntant camera form yesteryear which I can use to charge it.
If you are buying this then I recommend buying a mini usb cable if you don't already have one in the back of a drawer somewhere!

They come up as £3.95 for me, so I need to spend another £1.05 which with VAT becomes £6 in total.

Great price for anybody that doesn't mind that though.

My car charger fried my £150 Garmin running watch, filled the car with that awful electrical burning smell. Very cautious as to what I plug into it now.
Mine's arrived yesterday, the quality of the powerbank is very cheap. Also when I put the wire in for charging it got stuck inside the port, when i pulled it out the wire broke, very poor quality. Going to return it. Please avoid, its not worth going for the cheap option, spend a bit more and get a better quality one. I wouldn't feel safe charging it overnight.

Must be a faulty unit which can happen with any product.
I purchased 2 of these over a week ago for myself and daughter to help with our Pokemon hunting, and the units have performed perfectly without problem.

Obviously very different prices, but how does this compare to the Xiaomi 10000mah power bank? Here

Your link won't work for me mate, but a couple of things, why do you think it's a very different price? I think my Xiaomi 10000mAh was only 50p or so more than this one. I can't compare them as I've not got the CPC one but the Xiaomi is a very solid bit of kit which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Ah the mod edited my link, but it's basically just the ~£15 result on Amazon for Xiamoi 10000mah power pack. I've never seen the Xiamoi below £10, are you saying it's cheaper somewhere?

My PowerBank has just arrived and from the feel it feels pretty good the Brand name on the rear says Kondor as long as it doesn't blow up or explode it should do the job.

Mines arrived in well added box.
#1 came fully charged, tested it a little, seems to work ok but noticed one of connectors gets warm as powerbank is charged.
Thank you for heads up.

Could this one is taking charging while feeding energy to other phones simultaneously ???
What I found many charger could only do either / or. Whena they are taking charge they can not feed other phone battery ...
