Tbh, I don't care if it is from a real farm or not. In my house, bacon is bacon. It goes in one end and comes out the other. The less impact on the wallet the better

Yes, normal price, and still more than Asda who sell their equivalent for 57p.

Don't you have to cook all types of bacon?

Not if it's ironing bacon, cleaning bacon or dishwasher bacon. I thought everyone knew that.

Not all types some bacon products are sold precooked or smoked.
Bacon tastes best when cooked from fresh.

My local asda and tesco stopped selling these packs, will need to get back to them to see if they're back in stores, great for chucking in with soup! +'d

perfect for one of our favourite recipes
fry the bacon with some garlic, add a couple of chopped leeks, add to a big pan of pasta then stir in some crème fraiche... boom nice easy cheap meal that you will want to make again and again

been buying this for months from tesco - they sell minced beef by the same farm which is also cheaper than their own brand
This is good bacon, sometimes it's rashers and sometimes it's more like gammon steaks but it has always been well worth the money.

I've always wondered how many people fall for the marketing and believe these are real farms.

I buy this bacon often, when my local store has it in stock - it often doesn't. Supermarkets could sell more if they stocked what customers want. I have never seen chunks or gammon in any packs. I usually buy the smoked and have had packs with just rashers, no bits, usually back or streaky. Next best is Lidl's which is a 1kg pack which does often have gammon slices or bacon chops. Don't know the current price. Both products are great value and so much cheaper than neatly packed rashers.
Lidl also have 250g packs of back bacon, sold as back bacon for 99p, vacuum packed. Bought 2 packs the other day and the rashers were almost entirely large loin rashers - very little streaky - making them very cheap compared to the cost of medallions (loin) which are more expensive.
