i didnt want the bundle as ive already got & completed the game & argos dont have it in stock near me as the amiibo is like £9.75 most places on its own (amazon is £7.90 + £1.99 postage) but thank you for commenting

It aint if you managed to get the cheap deal with the toad bundled :stuck_out_tongue: Sold the game and got digital after, kept the toad though - it adds to the game (hide and seek element).

You dont get the full speed of the SSD no, because of the USB 2.0 connection.
But what you do get is a steady and continuously maxed out USB 2.0 connection (e.g. 480 megabits per second) - which you definitely wont get with a SATA drive. SSD is always going to be a zillion times faster than any mechanical drive, whether accessed via USB 2.0 or not.

do you actually get the full speed of an ssd, as you only have usb2 so can't see there being much difference between that and a normal sata drive

Not just convenience, I use an external 240GB SSD - it chops down the load times, significantly in some cases. It also improves the speed of rendering for some games like Xenoblade Chronicles X as they run in terms of appearing enemies and backgrounds.
But it can be expensive.

Why though? It's more expensive, and Nintendo games famously hold their value well so you can sell it when you're done. The only reason to buy digital is convenience. If you're willing to pay more to save you having to get up and change disks, then I hope you have a seriously healthy diet....
