You're right, sorry. Hadn't appreciated how large the sensor was on a G4, or how small the one on this is.

i think in theory the lg g4 will have better absolute quality and low light, mobiles have come on a lot
(sensor size on a g4 is very slightly smaller than on this but the lens is much faster)
as soon as you start zooming or think of user comfort etc though the actual cameras win out

The biggest difference is optical zoom. This has 30x, the LG has 1x. That makes a huge difference in practice. Then the sensor on this is going to be many times the size of the one on the LG, which should make for much better low light performance (even though this has a max aperture of 3.4 against 1.8 on the phone). Should also allow for some amount of focal discrimination (having the background out of focus), though that's never going to be as good a proper DSLR.
