As far as MW goes, you have to be a high enough level to unlock challenges before your kills start registering for the attachments. I believe if you go to barracks, you'll see the challenges there.
As for IW, I haven't bothered playing it yet

I doubt it, they both only use the same type of Blu-ray disc media. More likely is that MWR will boot on the Xbox as long as the disc is inserted but without requiring a one-time license code whereas the PS4 needs both. Those backwards compatible launch games on the PS4 worked that way.

Hope everybody has got their copy now and thanks again op for the heads up. I'm looking to trade my PS4 copy in today at Game and ask them to beat CEX as I've played through both campaigns.
For some reason CEX have the Xbox one legacy edition on their website but not the PS4 and they are offering good money for it. My question is, is Modern Warfare included on the disc on Xbox one instead of a download like on PS4? This would explain the high price for that version and why it has its own link.
I've tried googling it but didn't have much luck. Sorry if somebody has already mentioned this above

They wouldn't both fit on a single Bluray disc, my guess is that the disc kicks off a download in the same way that the Killer Instinct disc worked.
Wow, Activision have really done a number on this one. So if you want to play MWR then you need that particular version of the disc. Even redeeming a code and using a standard copy of the game won't work.

Mine (XONE copy) has just arrived from postie (together with the £4.99 Tomb Raider from Game).
Interestingly I've just started to install and there is no separate code for MW which I was looking for, the code in the box is for the Terminal map. When I inserted the disc it just prompts whether you'd like to install one or both games, so it's busy installing them both now. I guess that's why you need the disc in the console as data is on the disc.

Agreed - I don't think you are at the point of no return with a purchase by downloading a beta. It's not a finished product and you are essentially a tester. I'd go back to them and complain again. They will still have an untouched product to sell on release if you were to cancel, it's hardly as if DLC codes have been used etc.

Just played a few levels and all i can say its amazing and very true to the original but improves the graphics to look like a very nice looking game in 2016. It looks very big budget and the shooting still feels great. If infinite warfare turns out good this will be great value for money.

Just to let people know the COD 4 remaster is exactly 40GB in size. You can assume IW is going to be at least 50GB if a remaster is 40GB. Thats about 90GB of space for both games. I hadn't heard anything after placing my order at 7:30 on Saturday morning other than a text saying the item would be delivered yesterday. I decided to phone argos customer service at which point I was told I had ordered a game for PS3 which was clearly a mistake and it would be cancelled.
Oh no I hear you cry, but fear not for jimpo is a tenacious soul and not happy with this.
After having the kind of tantrum which would make a 5 year old proud I managed to get put on hold whilst my customer service advisor had a word with her supervisor.
I was then told that my order would in fact be honored and my item would be delivered in November. So if anyone has not yet received a proper confirmation I suggest you stamp your feet somewhat!!!

I think the only way it would need the disc is if it needs to be booted from the IW main menu rather than launching as an independent application from the PS4/Xbox dashboard.
That would be an extremely convoluted, inconvenient and user-unfriendly way to run it but like mld81 said, with CoD and Activision anything is possible.

Legally Argos have not accepted your "offer" of £39.99 for it until the game is despatched. The £39.99 price posted was only an "invitation to treat". Argos can cancel for any reason, whether it was a deliberate mis-price or not, and screenshots showing Argos knew the correct price are irrelevant. Up until the moment it is despatched Argos are free to change their mind at any point, just because they originally wanted to sell it at £39.99 doesn't mean they are compelled to do so.

Earlier as we all know, the page to the games had gone down as well as the add to trolley button giving the same result.
Well have just checked again and the game page is still down but now when I click on add to trolley, it does exactly that, but it's coming up as £69.95...
I'm an optimist and I'm 96% certain that this will be cancelled, the 4% is merely for the 4hrs that will probably pass before I receive the cancellation email at about 7 on sunday morning.
If 1000 people jumped on this deal each getting £30 off the average retail price of the best part of £70, then if argos did honour those who were fortunate to purchase, then that would result in a £30,000 loss, all because somebody accidentally or spitefully put this game amongst sale items when it shouldn't have been. I couldn't even begin to guess how many have actually ordered this before it was stopped in it's tracks, so as you can imagine it could be a lot more.

Just out of interest. Is this really a misprice? My screenshot I took at time of sale shows the rrp. They have discounted this by £30.00. So argos have not 'mispriced' the item. They are aware of the rrp - it has been reduced in a sale. Do they have to honour a sale price (NOT misprice)?

I am over it, I said I expect a email tomorrow. I never liked Argos everything i get from there has to be returned as it's faulty or missing a part. Plus they only seem to have 1 in stock of everything, if any at all. Custom is what makes a shop survive so without people's custom they will lose their business. So I think custom is important to a business which sell products to the people. Also the hassle of ordering and waiting ages for refund I think I am entitled not to be over the moon with their customer service. If you like being treated like a idiot (which you obviously do) that's up to you!

I got a phone call to say they'd be honouring it but limited to 1 per customer, I had ordered 2 copies.

I just called Argos customer services, lady confirmed that it's a sale price and that these generally change around every two weeks. Confirmed it wasn't a system error, and was displaying as a sale price, so yes looks like we're good to go

Yes you're correct and their wording is awful! As Modern Warfare Remastered is a digital download (code in box) you won't need to keep Infinite Warfare if you don't want to. Just thought I would clarify for anyone else who wants the remaster but may sell Infinite Warfare.
Activision just wants to get sale numbers of both games up at the same time.

This is in the Activision FAQ, wording i a little odd as it doesn't have the intention that you have to keep Infinite Warfare. Just own it to get MW in the first instance.

Yes, the company is the big variable. Although the "invitation to treat" side of consumer law is in basic terms quite straightforward, sellers can adapt their terms and conditions to include a statement that the contract is only formed once the delivery to the buyer is complete. Generally this is quite well hidden. There was a case a while back where Screwfix flogged something at some ridiculous price, and the "invitation to treat" aspect of consumer law didn't work in the customer's favour, as Screwfix's terms had been very carefully written to ensure that delivery formed the contract, not acceptance of money..
So, I guess in summary - misprices are a crapshoot. You may have a leg to stand on if the seller does not want to honour - but you may not.

A well reasoned reply. But yes it all depends on the company, but consumer law does not actually favour the consumer when it comes to misprices. But a good customer focused company can choose to honour it if they see fit. Distance selling is still a very subjective entity and your rights only 100% kick in once you receive a despatch email, not before.

Tricky one. Purely in terms of purchasing, Argos advertise a product. That's an "invitation to treat". You offer, i.e. click the buy button. They take the money. At that point, they have accepted your offer, and formed a binding contract in legal terms. Of course, you're right - they could say they are out of stock, but not only would that be very shady, it would be hard for them to do - this isn't a limited edition product produced in small numbers - it's just another variation of the base game and should be available quite easily.
All this is just my opinion though - who knows what Argos will do....heat added, and order placed... :smiley:

Not necessarily. Until it is despatched they haven't actually sold you the item. Many can get around this by simply saying the stock all sold out and just issue a refund. Not much a consumer can do about this.

Looks genuine to me, on the mobile site the standard edition is listed separately for £49.99, and this edition states 'save £30, was £69.99'.
The description also says:
The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition is the ultimate 2-games-in-1 package with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
Then again it also says 'available for delivery tomorrow' :s

2 mw remastered certain guns arent registering their kills so i cant unlock red dot sight or quickdraw etc had over 200 kills with the m16a and on the unlock screen it says get 25 kills with tgis weapon to unlock red dot sight and shows 0/25 kills

For some reason CEX have the Xbox one legacy edition on their website but not the PS4 and they are offering good money for it. My question is, is Modern Warfare included on the disc on Xbox one instead of a download like on PS4? This would explain the high price for that version and why it has its own link.

Wow, Activision have really done a number on this one. So if you want to play MWR then you need that particular version of the disc. Even redeeming a code and using a standard copy of the game won't work.
Interestingly I've just started to install and there is no separate code for MW which I was looking for, the code in the box is for the Terminal map. When I inserted the disc it just prompts whether you'd like to install one or both games, so it's busy installing them both now. I guess that's why you need the disc in the console as data is on the disc.

After having the kind of tantrum which would make a 5 year old proud I managed to get put on hold whilst my customer service advisor had a word with her supervisor.

Earlier as we all know, the page to the games had gone down as well as the add to trolley button giving the same result.
Well have just checked again and the game page is still down but now when I click on add to trolley, it does exactly that, but it's coming up as £69.95...
I'm an optimist and I'm 96% certain that this will be cancelled, the 4% is merely for the 4hrs that will probably pass before I receive the cancellation email at about 7 on sunday morning.
If 1000 people jumped on this deal each getting £30 off the average retail price of the best part of £70, then if argos did honour those who were fortunate to purchase, then that would result in a £30,000 loss, all because somebody accidentally or spitefully put this game amongst sale items when it shouldn't have been. I couldn't even begin to guess how many have actually ordered this before it was stopped in it's tracks, so as you can imagine it could be a lot more.
