C02 tyre inflater.
Small & easy to carry. Available INSTORE only. Was £4.99 now £2.99. Wasn't reduced on shelf but at the till. Quite cheap for what it is. Has a shut off valve, usually only on more expensive ones. Bought in Wigston, Leicester. They are also selling their brilliant cycling socks now down to 99p for 2 pairs. Check my other post for details.

If you use these, take them home with you! As a cyclist, it's embarrassing how many empty ones I see littering the countryside.

What is the benefit of having CO2 in he tyre instead of normal air?

None. You just pop the cylinder and it fills up your tyre without you having to pump away like a monkey trying to learn the fiddle.

It fits in your pocket.

Not sure there is any specific benefit of co2 over air, it's just that these will inflate your tyres without the need to manually pump them up. Also it's a fair bit smaller than even the smallest manual pump to carry around with you.

I think you might find some of these are laughing gas. Tossed from cars or limousines.

Chances are the ones you see laying around weren't filled with co2, more likely to be empty n2o ones that kids like huffing these days!

Is this the new plan to reduce carbon emissions? Capture it and put it all in bike tyres...

Are these for Presta or Schrader valves?

I have one of these and used it for the first time last week. It's magic how a tyre comes straight up to pressure in half a second. Fits schrader easily, but may depend on the design of the pin in a presta tube as to whether it can be fitted directly. My front tube accepted it, the rear not, so I'll be carrying a standalone adaptor from now on.

Fits both from memory Hastie86.

You need to replace co2 with air ASAP, as CO2 will lose pressure in a matter of days. It's good enough to get you home.
