Bulova have a very long heritage in the US and more recently Switzerland. Their '60 Accutron tech was the first electric watch, predating quartz movements by having a tuning fork mechanism in them. Those watches didn't tick. They gently hummed! Becoming collectable these days, especially the Astronaut and Space view models. Just check out 'accutron woody' on google images for the most amazing '70s style.
Their more upmarket models have lovely sweeping action on the second hand too. Bulova, whilst not luxury is definitely of decent quality. Definitely better than costume watches like Boss etc.

The watches you listed are their very top end ones, and they actually use Citizen movements:
"In 2010, Miyota (Citizen Watch) of Japan introduced a newly developed movement (UHF 262 kHz) that uses a three-prong quartz crystal for the Precisionist or Accutron II line, a new type of quartz watch with ultra-high frequency (262.144 kHz) which is claimed to be accurate to +/- 10 seconds a year and has a smooth sweeping second hand rather than one that jumps each second."

In my mind, Citizen and Casio are still amongst the best for most occasions, especially daily wear. No one who is serious about watches buys costume ones like Boss.
There's also a Bulova chrono for the same price here, if you prefer that look.

Their new quartz Accutron II movements are great, but you can still pick up amazing vintage watches from the original Accutron line with the 214x/218x movements (with the tuning fork) on ebay and other places for less than £100. If you can get an original metal strap with it as well then it'll look much cooler than anything in that price range today (IMHO).

This watch doesn't have a sweeping movement. It "ticks"

Correct. Their low-end dress watches tick.
