Japanese have made mackerel their most eaten fish and they love the roe too just like me! Herrings are the world's favourite fish! In the UK we sadly eat too much cod and salmon - we don't eat enough variety !

We feed sprats, sardines and herring to farmed salmon who eat three times their body weight just to keep them alive. What a waste of good wild fresh fish that we should be eating !

Personally don't like the BTM ones, very different texture to Glenryck mackerel which I do like.
