I have just ordered one of these so until it arrives I can't comment on the drill itself but basing my opinion on other deals I have seen on here, this seems quite good but please do point out if I've made a big mistake!
Bosch's drill range seems a little complicated but from what I can make out, this model is a Dynamic Series model that is the middle of the three in the Blue range. It seems the cheaper GSB2 model which has come up on here a few times recently is the lower end Light Series. This vid shows some of the differences...

I'm pretty confident for my needs I wouldn't have noticed a difference and would probably have bought the light series if there was a saving to be made. That said, seeing as they are both from the current blue series range, if they were both equally capable I would have thought Bosch would do away with the Dynamic series altogether, rebadge the light series and up the RRP to Dynamic Series price.

Bigger motor=more power usage=less working time?
Maybe thats why the max RPM is lower, to save battery power. I find it strange the the 2 can drill a bigger hole in wood than the V. Also there is no rating on the hammer function in the specs of the 2 but it IS a hammer drill. I just think they're pretty much of a muchness.
Edit: And the chuck on the V looks nicer lol.

Did you watch the youtube vid in the link? I think the real difference is in the size/power of the motor as explained in the vid. Being a DIY user I couldn't say if the larger motor will ever be of benefit to me but as I was hoping this drill would replace both my old cordless and corded drills I went for the more powerful option.

Mine arrived today, Whia tool kit enclosed, also for confirmation it came with the L boxx, been using it all day building up a fence and putting up shelves in the kitchen, very impressed so far!

I've drilled one single hole so far! I must say it drilled it very nicely but I think it will be a while before I get my hundred quids worth out of it!

They do still have the twin 3ah set for 30 quid more if that suits anyone....
Just to confirm mine arrived yesterday and it does come in the l-boxx and sealed with a security sticker...I guess to stop anyone swapping out old batteries.

I can't see in the listing any mention of the l-boxx? is it definitely included. the lower power lighter version on Anglia specifically mentions the l-boxx

All the comments I've seen in my last couple of months deciding on the right drill would suggest yes, you are better off pay that bit extra for a blue series.

I just placed an order and will return the PSB one in the link above. From what I've read and the reviews, the professional range is better so if I'm spending a chunk of money on one I should probably get the best I can!

I was debating with myself yesterday if I really needed to change my old drill for this one.
The addition of the free tools into the mix has knocked me off the fence.

You cant beat a Bosch no matter what people say, I had my first experience with a Bosch PSR 1200 ten yrs ago and a few yrs later i got the Bosch PSR 14,4. They are both cordless and when they start vibrating they are sensational. The wife swears by them and claims it does the job, funnily enough she has stopped nagging me on a night time i dont know why.
German engineering at its best, why are Germans so good at football? they've go Bosch between their legs while we have Black and decker. I have said enough, please dont ask for photos of the Bosch in action i know some of our readers are in the 18 to 20 age group and they would get the wrong impression of what a Bosch drill is for.

400% longer battery time and can drill only 20 holes 6mm×50. Doesn't sound like much. Don't you think?

The B&Q deal posted on here recently was the same drill as you say but that deal was with 1.5ah batts. I nearly bought one but couldn't find stock locally...glad I didn't now!

Saw the same deal at B&q over the weekend, or screw fix have the 4ah battery model for the same price, but you only get a single battery.. Depends on your needs.
